Sometimes nature gives us the perfect backdrop

The blues around us matched my client’s dress so perfectly, and moments like this remind me why I love photographing maternity sessions outdoors.

The way I see maternity photography is a little different.
I always see my maternity clients as a part of nature whether we’re at the beach, in a park, surrounded by trees, or standing under an open sky. We are part of nature, and when I create images, I want the surroundings to become a big part of the story.

And don’t get me wrong you will absolutely get those beautiful, smiley photos looking at the camera.

But the biggest part of my sessions is about creating something more. Images that feel like art rather than just another maternity picture. Images where you, your body, your pregnancy, the light, and nature all come together to create something timeless.

⬇️Your maternity session doesn’t have to be complicated.
Don’t overthink the outfits, the planning, or all the little details. We’re in Florida you can literally bring a pair of jeans, a white shirt, a swimsuit and that’s already enough to create something beautiful.
And the dresses? I’ve got you covered.

I have more than 25 beautiful pieces in my client wardrobe, and if you see something you love, I can bring it to your session for you. So yes that part is already solved.

➡️Want to go creative? I LOVE it. Just show me your inspiration and references!

➡️Want to keep it simple? Even easier. Because less is more and I always repeat this to my clients.

This session is not really about complicated planning, finding the perfect outfit, or worrying about the weather.
It’s about you. This moment. This chapter of your life.
You just need to show up

A little story behind these photos ⬇️
When my client found out that her partner wouldn’t be able to participate in her maternity session she could have easily decided to cancel.
But she didn’t.
She chose to come anyway and celebrate this season of her life with a solo maternity session. I’m so proud of her for that.
Because she knew that this moment was happening now. Her pregnancy wouldn’t wait for the perfect timing. And she knew that if she skipped it she might never get another chance to capture this exact version of herself carrying her baby.

So let this be a little reminder for all of us: sometimes our plans don’t turn out exactly how we imagined them. Maybe your partner can’t come. Maybe your kids are sick. Maybe life gets busy and messy.
But that doesn’t mean you have to skip documenting this chapter.

I have never met a client who regretted doing a maternity session. But I have met many women who regretted missing it.

Because one day, this pregnancy will be just a memory and these photos will bring you back to exactly how it felt.

It’s crazy to think that during my first pregnancy I never even reached the point where I am now.

I had my C-section exactly at 37 weeks because of placenta previa. I had five episodes of bleeding before my C-section, and because natural delivery wasn’t an option anyway my doctors didn’t want to risk another bleeding episode. So at 37 weeks my baby was here.

And now, at 37 weeks and 5 days, I finally understand how “easy” it was to have my C-section at that point. Because man… these last few weeks are TOUGH. 😅

I truly understand now why women count every single day at the end of pregnancy. I’m counting too. You get through one day and you feel like a winner.

Because suddenly all the symptoms you may have had before become stronger. And new strange things start happening with your body.

I’ve had a mild cough for about three months and now right before delivery it has become terrible. I’m on antibiotics right now. My sugars are all over the place even though I’m doing my best with the diet and I’ve been prescribed metformin.

On top of that, for the last five days, I’ve had a temperature around 37.5°C, which makes my whole body ache. And the only time I really get to rest is at night. So add back pain to that and my whole body feels sore.

And I could go on and on…The heaviness. The swollen legs. The mild contractions. The hip pain. The back pain. The exhaustion. The feeling that your body is just… DONE. 😅
So I’ll stop here

But moms who are in those last stretches of pregnancy — I’m with you. I see you. I feel you.
