Meet the Photographer Behind the Camera 📸
Hey, I’m Xyan, owner and lead photographer of Shots by Xyan.
I’m a South Florida wedding photographer, but the truth is, I’ll travel wherever love takes me. Whether it’s an intimate celebration close to home or a destination wedding across the world, I’m passionate about telling love stories in a way that feels timeless, genuine, and unforgettable.
I was born and raised in Jamaica, where my creative journey first began. Long before I became a photographer, I was a professional singer. Music gave me the opportunity to travel the world, perform in different countries, and connect with people from many cultures. Even today, I still sing from time to time, and I also play guitar. While I can play both electric and acoustic, the acoustic guitar has always been my favorite.
These days, photography has become my full-time passion.
What started as a love for creating beautiful images has grown into a mission to preserve memories that will outlive all of us. Wedding photographs aren’t just for the wedding day. They’re for anniversaries, your children, your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren, and generations that haven’t even been born yet. Every image becomes a piece of your family’s history, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

That commitment has helped us earn 5-star reviews on Google, something I’m incredibly grateful for because it reflects the trust my couples place in me.
I’ve had the privilege of photographing many incredible people throughout my journey, and I hope one day to work with even more celebrities, musicians, actors, and public figures. But whether you’re standing on a red carpet or walking down the aisle surrounded by family and friends, my approach never changes. Every story deserves the same level of passion, creativity, and attention to detail.
Some of the dream destinations on my photography bucket list include Italy, Greece, Santorini, Barcelona, London, and beautiful islands around the world. Music once took me to many of these places. My dream now is to return—not as a singer, but as the photographer preserving someone’s once-in-a-lifetime wedding day.
In the next five years, I see myself traveling the world as a destination and celebrity wedding photographer, documenting love stories in breathtaking locations while continuing to serve every couple with the same heart that brought me here.
