Our law enforcement family is mourning the loss of a truly remarkable man.

After many years of dedicated service, Chris Kelley, a longtime Deputy Sheriff with the Benton County Sheriff's Office, (Reserve Lieutenant), and Captain with the Centerton Police Department, has passed away.

He was more than a badge and a uniform. He was a respected leader, a trusted mentor, a loyal friend, a devoted husband, and a servant to his community. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to others left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He led with integrity, treated people with respect, and earned the admiration of colleagues, friends, and community members alike. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched throughout his career and beyond.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who served alongside him during this difficult time.

Thank you for your service, your friendship, and the example you set for so many. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Rest easy, brother. We have the watch from here.

🔥STRUCTURE FIRE🚒

At 10:44 PM, Springdale Fire Department Ladder 6 was dispatched to a smoke investigation on Hwy 412, West of I-49. Upon arrival, they confirmed there was an active structure fire at the rear of the Great Dane truck repair shop. The call was upgraded to a Structure Fire, and a 2nd Alarm was requested shortly after Battalion 2 arrived.

Crews stretched multiple attack lines and controlled the fire, while other personnel conducted a search and opened all the bay doors to ventilate the structure. The cause of the fire is unknown, but appeared to only minimally damage the interior of the building.

Units On Scene: BAT1, BAT2, E1, E2, E4, M4, E5, L6, M6, E7, E9, CAR12
