K.D. Gladwell Photography

K.D. Gladwell Photography Business Development by day and amateur nature Photographer by night and weekend. I enjoy getting in nature taking photos of this beautiful planet I call home.

The majority of my photography is of Nature, Buildings and Structures, and Flowers. Getting out on my own or with friends and family is a great way to recenter myself when life gets stressful. Photography started out as a hobby but has become an addiction. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy them.

It's TIMMMEEE!!!

Grateful for the moments, the memories, and every one of you who shows up, supports, and follows along. That truly means more than you know.

Wishing you a Christmas filled with love, light, and just enough chaos to make it memorable. πŸŽ„

Winter starts today.

The air turns sharp, the days grow quiet, and the season officially takes over. No countdown, just the shift.

Let winter do its thing. ❄️

Morning settles slowly in Thurmond. The tracks warm under the first touch of sunlight, and the river carries a quiet calm through the gorge before the sounds of trains make their way into town. πŸ‚πŸŒ€οΈ
There’s history here not loud, just steady, like the flow of the New River itself.

Early morning in Thurmond feels like stepping into another era β€” quiet streets, golden light, and stories written in brick and steel. 🌀️🍁

Fall brings a softness to this historic rail town that photos can only begin to capture.

It’s one of those places where time stands still, if only for a moment.

Kanawha Falls in autumn β€” where sunlight meets water and the roar softens into rhythm. πŸπŸ’§
There’s something peaceful about this place in the afternoon, when the light hits just right and the season seems to pause.

Afternoon light draped Kanawha Falls in gold β€” the kind of glow that makes you stop and breathe it all in. πŸ‚βœ¨
The river moves steady, the leaves drift slow, and fall reminds you that beauty doesn’t rush.

This time of year always reminds me how lucky I am to have people who cheer me on, whether I’m wandering a trail at sunrise, chasing fall color, or trying to catch that perfect moment before the light slips away.

I’m grateful for the family and friends who never question my passion, who celebrate every small win, and who let me share the world through my lens. Your support means more than you know.

Wishing everyone a day filled with good food, warm laughter, and the people who make life brighter. 🧑🍁

Even in a dry spell, Cathedral Falls still finds a way to shine. πŸ‚
The water might be low, but the textures, colors, and quiet echoes of fall make this spot just as mesmerizing. Sometimes the calm reveals details the rush hides.

Standing on the Fayette Station Bridge, it’s impossible not to feel the history β€” one bridge built for strength, the other for connection, both framed by the glow of an Appalachian autumn. πŸŒ‰πŸ‚

Afternoons at the New River Gorge National Park Visitor Center are something special β€” sunlight spilling over the cliffs, the bridge stretching across a canopy of color, and the river winding endlessly below. πŸŒ€οΈπŸ‚

Fall doesn’t just visit here β€” it moves in.
