I am so excited to share some more images of Miss Ziah on the blog!

When a friend from highschool has a newborn- it is always fantastic to get the call to do their newborn session for them! Baby Ziah is so precious and I loved getting to visit with her mommy again!

Is your little one already here? No worries, most newborn sessions take place between 3-14 days old, but "older" newborns can still have beautiful newborn sessions! And sometimes we even get cute awake photos!

Older newborn sessions look a little different than traditional newborn photos. Lots of wraps to keep baby snuggled, less posing and more prop sets. And older newborn sessions are great for parent shots!

I know it is such a big decision - and I am always so honored to have new families chose me! I have spent almost 20 years in this industry, first as a prop designer and now as a photographer. Taking newborn safety classes, in person and online mentoring with some of the best photographers around the world, and continued editing workshops - I take the best job in the world, very seriously. 💕 Trusting me with your newborn is something I do not take lightly.

A lot of times I get asked if sibling photos are offered - and of course they are! You want to capture all your babies together, and with a little planning- I for sure want to make that happen!

All of my newborn sessions are done in-home, so sometimes that means getting creative in your space, but really, it's my favorite because kids (and parents) are more comfortable in their own homes.

I get asked this all the time - and the realest answer is, second trimester. That gives us both enough time to plan the details and I can order any adorable props just for your session, and you don't have to worry about one more thing those last few weeks. It guarantees you a time slot for a session (especially in busy season) when baby is fresh and new.

But, sometimes busy and pregnant moms don't have the chance to book then, they get home and realize they had totally spaced, so even messaging after baby is here, usually works!

Meilani Rose is just the sweetest baby girl! I was so excited to be booked for her newborn session- because I did her big sisters newborn session too!
