Braxton and Lydia knew early on Estes Park was the only place their wedding could happen.

It's where their story started.

Their ceremony at Sprague Lake included a heartfelt poem reading, and right after their "I do," they shared their first dance beside the water, family gathered close.

Getting married where your story actually began has a way of making the whole day feel inevitable, in the best sense. 💍

July photo dump 🙌🏻

It always ends up being the busiest month of the year, but it was a really good one.

I shot 6 weddings and 2 proposals in Aspen, Crested Butte, Breckenridge, Woodland Park, Estes Park, and Brainard Lake, and feel like I slept in more hotel rooms than I did in my own bed.

I saw Riley Green (swoon 😍) and Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and spent lots of time soaking up the sunshine and preping for baby boy’s arrival this fall.

Am I the only one who feels like this year is flying by?!

Here’s to hoping this next month is full of as much joy as July was, and this crazy heat this summer chills out a bit!

Photos like this one have taken years and years of practice.

Just because someone is a photographer that you are hiring to take your elopement photos does not mean their camera can automatically take epic stargazing photos.

We know which conditions are best, how to get our settings right for clear and crisp astro photography, how to light you up IN that photo, and how to do it quickly so you’re not freezing your butt off under the Milky Way forever attempting to get the shot.

Remember, a camera doesn’t take good photos, an experienced photographer does.

1. My June elopement with the cutest little wedding crashers
