Since 1975, Avanti’s has been a part of Erie, serving generations of people breakfast and lunch on West 8th Street. There’s something special about a local business that becomes part of a community’s history, and Avanti’s is one of those places.

We had the opportunity to photograph Avanti’s for their updated menu, website, and advertising, capturing everything from their food and staff to the building itself.

I couldn’t help but wonder how many hundreds of thousands of cups of coffee had been poured, how many breakfasts had been shared, and how many conversations had taken place at those tables over the decades. There’s something special about a place that has been part of so many people’s everyday lives.

Here are some of my favorite images from my time working with Avanti’s. 📸
