A few months ago, I was asked to photograph a women’s networking fundraiser to grow awareness for an organization called Erie DAWN. At the time, I didn’t know much about them. But over the past few months I have learned all of the good this organization does and is planning to do for women and children in our community dealing with housing and financial instability. There’s something especially meaningful about a graduation photo session after commencement. The stress of finals is behind you, the celebrations have quieted, and family has headed home.
