Over the years, one of my favorite things about being a pet photographer has been finding ways to use photography to give back.
Through portrait projects, fundraisers, silent auctions, and community events, we've been able to help support animals in need while celebrating the dogs who make our lives so much better.
Today, I'm excited to share a brand-new project that is especially close to my heart.
This year, I'm looking for 20–30 amazing dogs to participate in the SCARF Project — Sharing Compassion, Art & Raising Funds.
The goal is simple: bring together a community of dog lovers, create beautiful portraits that celebrate the dogs we adore, and raise $10,000 for animals in need.
Participating dogs will enjoy a custom fine art portrait experience with Bina Photography, and in October, all participating dogs will be featured in a special fundraising photo contest. The top 13 dogs will be featured in the 2027 SCARF Calendar, with proceeds helping support dogs in need.
What excites me most about this project isn't the calendar or even the portraits. It's the idea of a group of people coming together because they care. Every dog has a story, and every participant becomes part of something bigger than a photograph.
If you've been looking for a meaningful way to celebrate your dog while helping other animals, I would love for you to take a look.
Thank you, as always, for supporting these projects and for helping me continue to use photography to make a difference.
