If your holiday marketing strategy is to wait until Black Friday to start selling, respectfully, what the buck are we doing? 😂🎄

Your customers need more than one Instagram post and a discount code to convince them to spend their money with you. And no, that doesn’t mean every post needs to scream BUY MY STUFF.

Show your products. Talk about your services. Educate your audience. Share customer reviews. Send your marketing emails. Remind people that gift cards exist. Give them a reason to WANT what you’re selling before you ask them to buy it.

I’ve put together an eight-week holiday marketing guide with weekly checklists, content ideas, and email marketing reminders to help you make the most of the holiday season without turning your entire Instagram into one giant sales pitch.

Save this post and actually put it to work! And if you’d rather have the entire guide delivered straight to your inbox as a PDF, drop a comment below saying GUIDE and I’ll send it your way ⚡️💙🫶🏻

11 years ago this horse came into my life.

11 years of being my Big Ginger. My Big Zig.

He’s humbled me when I’ve needed to be humbled. He’s made me feel invincible. He got me through my dad’s death. He taught me to have big goals but to also slow down and enjoy the moments.

At 29, I just try to do everything I can to make sure he’s happy and healthy.

My business and my life wouldn’t be what it is without him.

Beyond thankful for Kansas Equine Photographer - Olivia Long for capturing these photos last week of us. What a perfect surprise to receive these sneak peaks yesterday 💙

Fall things 🐴🍂

This season begins the chaotic end-of-year planning, content creation, and making sure I’m drinking enough water so I stay a hydrated lil plant.

Got to spend three days with my photographer bestie Kansas Equine Photographer - Olivia Long shooting content and family photos, nursed a black eye thanks to my dog 🙃, lots of gym time and dog time, oodles amount of Zig time, and an obscene amount of time on my phone and laptop working.

Four years ago I was miserable in healthcare. Now I love every minute of what I do 💙🐴

Consider this your guide to running holiday ads this season 🎄🐴

Every year, business owners start wondering whether they need to throw money at Meta to compete during the holiday season. And while paid advertising can be a GREAT way to get your products, services, and holiday promotions in front of more people, it isn’t a requirement for having a successful Q4. You can absolutely make sales without running a single ad, and you can also spend hundreds of dollars on ads that don’t make you a single buckin’ sale🫠

The difference comes down to understanding what you’re trying to accomplish, whether your business is actually ready for paid advertising, how much you can afford to spend, and which numbers you should be tracking. More reach doesn’t automatically mean more revenue, and a $500 ad budget doesn’t guarantee $5,000 in sales.

So before you start throwing money at Zuckerberg and hoping for a Christmas miracle, swipe through this guide. We’re breaking down the pros and cons of running ads, what happens when you don’t, how to determine your budget, and how to tell whether your advertising dollars are actually doing their job.

And remember, paid ads should SUPPORT your existing marketing efforts, not replace them. Your organic content, email marketing, website, customer experience, and overall strategy still matter just as much.

Save this one before you start planning your holiday campaigns. Your marketing budget will thank you 🙃
