You already know I have a thing for clowns. šŸ¤”

But Thursday, Iā€™m taking that obsession somewhere new.

Three clowns.
The Minnesota State Fair.
Midway lights.
Crowds.
Carnival chaos.
And whatever happens when we throw all of that together after dark.

These arenā€™t the clowns coming with me Thursday ā€” just a little reminder of why I keep getting pulled back into this world.

Okay, shush... this one was slightly preplanned. šŸ˜

The second I saw this room online, I knew I needed to photograph it, and then she said flapper ... I was SOLD!

The books, the woodwork, the warm light, the vintage details ā€” it already had the perfect feel for it. Then she showed up with the look and it all came together exactly how I hoped it would.

I still love walking into a space and seeing where the creativity takes us, but every once in a while you see a room and immediately know what belongs there.

This was one of those moments. šŸ–¤āœØ

Thereā€™s something about Wisteria that makes you want to slow down and just let the story unfold.

The castle already carries so much character on its own ā€” the textures, the shadows, the old-world details, the feeling that every corner has something waiting to be discovered. Then you bring in a model with her own styling, movement, and creative energy, and suddenly the entire space becomes something completely different.

That is one of my favorite parts of creating like this. I donā€™t need to know exactly what the final story will be before I arrive. I get to respond to the location, the person in front of my camera, the light, the wardrobe, and whatever little moments happen in between.

And this one?

She looked like something the castle had been waiting centuries to remember. āœØ

Wisteria, you were every bit as inspiring as I hoped you would be.

Yesterday, I stepped into Wisteria Castle with no perfectly mapped-out story in my headā€”and that was exactly how I wanted it.

I wanted the castle to speak for itself. I wanted to see what each model brought through the doorsā€”the wardrobe, the character, the energyā€”and then let my imagination react to that.

And damnā€¦ did it give me something to work with. šŸ‘‘

One room felt soft and romantic. Another felt haunting. One corner belonged to royalty, another to something a little darker. Every few steps felt like walking into an entirely different world.

That is the kind of creating I love most.

Not forcing everyone into the same vision.
Not knowing every frame before I take it.
Just walking in, paying attention, and letting the person, the space, the light, and my slightly wild brain figure it out together.

Sometimes we need a fantasy to survive the reality.

For a few hours at Wisteria, we got to make ours real. āœØ

And nowā€¦ I have a ridiculous amount of editing ahead of me, because there are WAY too many images I already love. šŸ˜‚ This is only a snap of the first half of the day!

This one feels a little different. šŸ–¤

Seeing my name ā€” Angelica Foster ā€” at the top of a VoyageMinnesota feature is one of those moments that makes you stop and look at how far youā€™ve come.

Inspired by You Fotos didnā€™t begin with some perfectly mapped-out plan. It grew from creativity, curiosity, taking chances, making mistakes, pushing myself outside of what felt comfortable, and slowly realizing that photography could become a place where I could tell stories that actually felt like something.

There have been moments Iā€™ve questioned myself. Moments Iā€™ve wondered if people would understand the strange ideas in my head, the darker concepts, the emotion, the fantasy, the things that donā€™t always fit neatly into a traditional photography box.

And somehowā€¦ those are becoming the very things that are defining my work.

Being given the opportunity to talk about my journey, my creativity, and what Iā€™m building with Inspired by You Fotos means more to me than simply seeing my name in an article.

It feels like another little reminder:

Keep building.
Keep creating.
Keep being a little different.
Keep telling the stories you want to tell.

To every person who has stepped in front of my camera, collaborated with me, shared my work, encouraged one of my wild ideas, or simply watched this little photography dream continue to grow ā€” you are part of this too.

Family isnā€™t just about standing together for a photographā€”itā€™s found in the laughter, the teasing, the quiet glances, and the little connections that happen naturally in between. These are the moments that tell the real story: two brothers being themselves, a mother sharing a smile with her son, and a family simply enjoying time together beneath the warm summer sun.

The years move quickly, children grow, and life changesā€”but photographs give us a way to hold onto exactly how this season felt. šŸŒ»

Her very first photoshootā€”and she absolutely soared. āœØ

There is something incredibly special about watching someone step in front of the camera feeling nervous, then slowly seeing that nervousness fade as she realizes she is safe, supported and completely capable of owning the moment.

After her session, she shared:

ā€œFor my first photoshoot, I had such a great experience! The anxiety and nerves from my first time were lifted away. I canā€™t thank you enough!ā€

This is why I do what I do. It isnā€™t only about creating beautiful imagesā€”itā€™s about patiently guiding you through the experience, helping you feel comfortable and showing you the beauty and confidence that were already there.

Some collections are about more than beautiful portraitsā€”they are about preserving the way a family feels together in this exact season of life. šŸŒ»

The bright smiles, the quiet glances, the little hands held safely between bigger ones, and the personalities that shine differently in every frame. Each of these women brought something uniquely their own to the sunflower field, but together, they created a collection filled with warmth, connection, and so much love.

The girls will grow. Life will change. But these photographs will always hold this evening exactly as it wasā€”a mother surrounded by her beautiful daughters, sharing laughter and making memories beneath a field of golden blooms.

This is why family photographs matter. Not simply so we can remember what everyone looked like, but so we can remember what it felt like to belong to one another. šŸŒ»šŸ¤

There are seasons when we feel like we need to have everything figured outā€”to know exactly where weā€™re going and who weā€™re becoming.

But maybe this season isnā€™t asking for answers.

Maybe itā€™s simply asking us to step into the light, breathe a little deeper, and let ourselves be seen exactly as we areā€”soft and strong, thoughtful and playful, still growing and already worthy.

Among the sunflowers, she didnā€™t need to become anyone else. She brought her own kind of beauty to the fieldā€”and made the moment entirely her own. šŸŒ»
