Every single year I say this, but 2027 is going to be the year I REALLY push myself creatively! (Okay, maybe I said that this year.)
I absolutely LOVE photography, but I have so many visions floating around in my head that I want to bring to life. I want less perfection, less posing, and more genuine moments, movement, laughter, and connection.
So here’s what I’m dreaming up for 2027!
LIFESTYLE SESSIONS! And I mean REAL lifestyle sessions. Invite me into your home! Let’s bake cookies with your kiddos, make pancakes on a Saturday morning, cuddle on the couch, dance in the kitchen, or just capture your family doing what you love. I want the messy kitchens, flour-covered noses, genuine laughter, and everyday moments that you’ll wish you could relive someday. I NEED THIS!
Horses, horses, horses! I would LOVE to incorporate horses into my photography. Bring your horse to me, or I’ll come to you! You can be the model, or we can get creative with one.
Cows and ALL the animals! Seriously, give me cows grazing in the background, horses in a field, farm animals wandering around. I NEED ANIMALSSSS! If you have animals and a beautiful piece of property, let’s talk!
BO***IR EVERYWHERE! And I mean EVERYWHERE! Bo***ir in the creek, bo***ir in your kitchen baking cookies with flour all over the counter, bo***ir in your bed, in front of your mirror, or out in nature. Heck, we can even do bo***ir with the chickens wandering around. I DON’T CARE! I want creative, intimate, playful, empowering sessions that celebrate YOU. Forget the idea that bo***ir has to look a certain way or happen in a certain setting. Let’s get weird, let’s get creative, and let’s make some art!
Water sessions! Creeks, rivers, lakes, splashing around, and soaking up all the beauty nature has to offer.
More maternity sessions! I absolutely adore capturing this season of life. I want the intimate, lovey-dovey moments, the laughter, the connection, and all the love that comes with growing a little human.
More kiddos being kiddos! Bare feet, messy hair, belly laughs, silly faces, and wild little personalities. Let them run, explore, and just BE kids.
More nature, more movement, more storytelling. Golden fields, wooded trails, open skies, and those beautiful in-between moments that happen when you forget there’s even a camera around.
I don’t want every photograph to look perfectly posed. I want them to FEEL like you.
I want the imperfect, the spontaneous, the intimate, the playful, and the beautifully ordinary moments. Because someday, those ordinary moments are going to mean everything.
