This is going to be one of the hardest posts we have ever had to make in our 9+ years of having Massei Photography. At this time, we will be closing our studio in June & putting our photography business on a pause for now. It is so bittersweet having to close this chapter in our lives but we are so excited for the new lifestyle changes our family will be endeavoring.
Austin has recently accepted a job with Chesterfield Fire and EMS. He will be in the academy for 6 months starting in mid-June. This is a career idea he has had on his heart for a while & after many chats & prayers, we made the decision together that the timing for it now felt right. He applied back in December & went through all of the hiring process the last 4 months. It never felt real that this might be our new reality until he got the call & was offered the job a few weeks ago. He is so thrilled for this opportunity & I could not be a more proud wife!
This decision was not taken lightly but we always knew in our hearts that photography would never be our forever job, but are so very grateful for the past 9+ years that we have made it work for us & our family. Our work & our clients brought us so much joy & we are so proud of everything it has given us!
Will we ever do photography again in the future on the side?! Maybe…but we don’t know for sure yet as we see how everything feels in 2026 once Austin gets into routine at a fire station.
Lastly, we just want to thank each & every one of you who has supported us in any way during our photography journey! None of it would have been possible without all of you! We have made the best connections & memories capturing all of you, whether it was your wedding, engagement, maternity, family, milestones & the list goes on! You have no idea how hard the thought of making this announcement has been weighing heavy on us. We just love you & all your families so so much!
