I really love what I do, and after photographing so many weddings you start to notice all the little moments where you can step in and make things easier, fixing a dress, running something over to the groom, keeping the couple from seeing each other too early, directing guests before or after the ceremony, organizing family for photos.... whatever it is. My goal is always to deliver beautiful images AND make your wedding day as fun and stress free as possible.

When I say I love the in between moments, this is what I mean. All eyes on the bride as she has the most amazing, sweet, funny, intimate vows I have ever heard and we are focusing on capturing the moment as a whole. Not only the vows she's saying but how everyone responds, feels, connects. It's this type of story telling that I truly am drawn too that combines your beautiful posed images with the candid realness that wedding days bring.

I had the most amazing time this weekend with Gillian & Jordan! We had perfect weather, found some of those spring blooms, and got to just enjoy the beauty that is Wisconsin in May.

A spring wedding at Dixon's Apple Orchard is pretty hard to beat. From the gorgeous trees blooming, to those sweet golden sunsets and all the laughs, tears, and joy in between it was truly the perfect day.

I don’t think we talk enough about the importance of downtime on a wedding day. Of sitting, relaxing, talking, laughing, drinking, hugging, smiling. If I can challenge you to do one thing that I think will positively impact your wedding day it’s just leaving space to be. Be present. Be joyful. Just be in your moment, with your people, and relax. Take 5 minutes just you and your partner and soak it all in. The smell of your flowers, how their hand feels, the sunshine on your skin, the scenery all of it.

As wedding season gets started just thought I’d remind everyone most photographers start with details so if you have all your details in a tote, box, or organized together that makes it so much easier for us and you! DM if you want a checklist for your wedding day for detail shots. If you know me I’m a checklist queen and liiiivvvee for that type A organization. 😂

I feel like I’ve been a little MIA on here lately… but I promise I’m still around

Just been a bit more in my real life enjoying kids, home, all the in-between moments… and a little less doom scrolling. I’m still photographing weddings, still showing up for my couples, still doing all the things… just not posting every second of it and it’s been refreshing.
