So beyond excited for the sounds and colors of spring and summer!

Once wedding season begins, it really flies by. This season, I have made the decision to take on less weddings than in previous years, and really work on perfecting the intention and artistic approach to documenting wedding day memories. In past years I have referred to myself as a chronic over-shooter and over-deliverer of images, which I understand can be overwhelming.

This year it is my goal to slow down a bit and create some different pieces. Part of that is the implementation of film. Film is not fast. Manual focus and light meters make you slow down. Bringing film to weddings has allowed my nervous system to slow down as well - to bring a balance to that wedding day adrenaline. I’m so excited to see what 2026 has in store!

Sometimes, the hardest part about portraits is choosing which locations to utilize first 🤩 On R & M’s Wedding Day, we wanted it all. The ocean view, the peak Newport summer sail boat traffic in the background, the beautiful arches in OceanCliff’s architecture, the fountain gardens area - and it’s a good thing we got a little of both - because I still remember the thickest summer fog and rain storm moving in right at sunset when we planned to go back out. Keeping an eye on the radar always plays a part on where and why I choose the spots for portraits on a wedding day 🤍 These are some of my favs!
