At your session, we have fun, take our time, and capture the moment that is gone in a blink of an eye. I’m Cortney Vawter; a candid family photographer who is extremely excited to capture lifelong memories of your family. I’m from Collinsville, Illinois, and recently moved to Dunkirk NY. I am married to an amazing partner, with a bunch of pets, and a passion for capturing special moments. The art behind my photography is capturing the moments that are gone in the blink of an eye. Natural interactions are my favorite to capture rather than stiff posing and fake portrait smiles, so I keep the session light and fun!

Remember Francelee & Eddie from last year?? Well, we went from ENGAGED to MARRIED in February. I had the pleasure of having their wedding on my books this year.

I don't do weddings often, but I do love a good intimate wedding, such as this one.

Like I said... I've been bad at posting what can I say! LOL don't worry we are working our way back up there ;)

Actively getting back into posting, ya'll. A 3-month-old can really flip your world around, in such a cool way!

Next up for my 2026 spotlight are these two love birds - Griffin & Rhea.

These two since have traded the east coast for the west, but I can say this is one of the cutest couples to date, and one of the most fun, to capture. Their chemistry is chef's kiss.

I know I know...I said I would do better in 2026 with posting... I have NOT done better! LOL Life has been a little crazy these days ;)

This session was back in February when there was snow still on the ground here in NY. Elisabeth and Ryan had a cute little date day going on and she surprised him with a photo session!

We started in the studio, swung around to a coffee shop in town & then finished it up at Ryan's place of work! How fun of a session?

THANK YOU! The overwhelming love of wanting me to capture your families when I'm home visiting is never short of a surprise! Thank you for trusting me to deliver great images for you to cherish.

Here are the details of my IL special! We will be open to using the creek if you so wish! I'm always down for some creek action.

*PLEASE NOTE - I scheduled these off of the thought of the Central time zone, but I accidently left it as NY time. So if you book 6am, it's truly going to be 6am IL time :) This is the ONLY date I am offering.

Additional Note: I will NOT have my son as that is a long day to have him out and about and I want to be able to focus on YOU. If you would like to meet him, I am putting together sometimes through the week so let me know if you are interested.

Happy Saturday all!!!

I'll be posting a weekend of discounted minis to celebrate a milestone in my life! I haven't shared here yet for my followers, but we are expecting a little boy at the end of June.

I'll be going out on maternity leave middle of June until mid September.

I'm still very active and taking sessions 🫶🏻 so I want to offer discounted minis to celebrate!
