“The Season You’re In.” From my Momma heart to You.
The older I get, the more I realize life is made up of seasons. Not just weather seasons… life seasons. The ones that quietly change us while we’re busy trying to survive them.
There’s the season before they leave home, where suddenly you realize the little kid that once needed help tying their shoes is talking about driving and future plans and becoming someone of their own.
There’s the season where everyone needs you all at once. The one where the house is loud, the laundry never ends, somebody always needs a ride somewhere, and you wonder if you’ve sat down all day… but deep down know these are the days that built a family.
There’s the season where your baby still fits in your arms. The one that feels impossibly exhausting while somehow slipping through your fingers faster than you can hold onto it.
There’s the season where you finally start seeing yourself again after losing pieces of yourself to survival, motherhood, heartbreak, growth, or simply taking care of everyone else first for so long.
And maybe that’s why photography means so much to me now.
Because people think they’re booking photos for a milestone… but what they’re really trying to hold onto is a season that mattered.
A season they survived.
A season they loved.
A season they don’t want to forget once life changes again.
That’s the kind of photographs I want to create now.
Not just posed smiles.
Not perfection.
Not pretending life is always polished.
I want to document the season you’re in — exactly as it feels right now.
