Carli wanted a Florentine steak (a massive steak that could feed 4 people) except it came out rare so I had to eat it all myself and I did the best I could and made friends with the retired couple from Boston sitting next to us and I wished we were still in Italy because I haven’t had a meal half as good since we left

I think the autofocus on my 35mm sure shot supreme is shot (ever since I let Julia borrow it - coincidence? I think not (jk it’s probably just dying of old age and that time the autofocus glass popped off on a Nashville dance floor at 1am))

The entire time we were in Milan Carli kept repeating “I can’t believe they named an entire city after a cookie” and she doesn’t even like Milanos or Milan

Milan was not what I hoped and dreamed for, it was cool, and we didn’t ride a tram so maybe that would have made it cooler, but the food was good and the people were rude (which is a bonus for me, I can’t stand fake nice people, if you hate me because I’m American and don’t understand that all the bathrooms in Milan are unisex and I was startled when I saw a woman washing her hands I would prefer you to be mean, that’s authentic). Also it’s hard to order pastries when nothing is labeled so I was 50% hit rate on actually getting what I tried to order but it was all fantastic.

P.s. my first book, Nuclear Alchemy In A Gold Mine - An American Novel is done and available in e book form. If you want a copy and promise not to steal it because I haven’t registered the ISBN yet then I’ll email you a copy. I’ve been learning how to diy bind books so soft copy versions will be ready ‘round summertime. It is a scyfy travel adventure book about a maid who kills an old man then gets mixed up with spies/bankers who are interested in gold & alchemists who are interested in time travel. It’s 73 thousand words of nonsense. Hopefully if you were on the fence that description sold you on it.
