✨ Let’s talk about Justin Bieber’s Grammy performance for a sec… ✨
Because honestly? It’s the perfect metaphor for what I’m seeing in photography right now.
His whole set was stripped back — raw vocals, real emotion, no over‑produced gloss. It felt human. It felt lived‑in. It felt like someone saying, “Hey, remember what this is actually about?”
And that’s exactly the shift I’m seeing (and loving) in photography.
People are craving images that feel like that performance:
• Real, not robotic
• Nostalgic, not plastic
• Perfectly imperfect, not AI‑slick
• Full of breath, texture, and truth
There’s this collective exhale happening — a move away from the overly polished, overly filtered, overly generated everything. Couples want photos that look like memories, not renderings. They want the goosebumps, the grain, the wind‑messy hair, the unposed magic.
Honestly? Same. I’ve been championing this for years, and it feels so good to see the world leaning back into the beauty of the real.

💵 $1000 donation made! Read all about it! ⬇️ 🥰

This coastline shows off every damn time — moody skies, and wild waves - I’ll never get tired of documenting love out here. 🌊

And while we’re talking about the ocean… I’m really proud to share that I just donated $1,000 to the Marine Mammal Institute in Newport as my 2025 charity.

Their work is incredible — from researching whale migration to protecting vulnerable marine species to educating the public about the ecosystems we’re lucky enough to live beside. They’re out there doing the kind of science and conservation that keeps our coastline thriving, and supporting them felt like the most natural way to give back to the place that inspires so much of my work.

Here’s to love, salty air, and taking care of the ocean that takes care of us. 🌊💙

✨ Holiday Hours Update ✨

Nest & Love will be closed December 15 – January 5 so I can recharge with my family (and dodge the rainy, chilly Oregon coast weather 🌧️).

📩 I’ll still be answering 2026 wedding inquiries during this time, but no shoots will take place until I’m back.

🍂🍁Maternity magic: One very photogenic bump in Camas, WA 🍂
When your maternity client is also a fellow PNW photographer, you know it’s going to be good. Keeton of Keeton Renee Photography showed up glowing, giggling, and ready to frolic through fall leaves like the radiant woodland goddess she is. ✨

We’ve shot together before, but this time she brought a whole new prop: a BABY. (Okay, technically still in progress. But very much stealing the show.)

Keeton, you’re a gem. Wishing you and Andrew all the best as you welcome your little one. May your baby inherit your creative eye, your laugh, and your ability to pose effortlessly in freezing cold muddy grass.
