There are places we visit that somehow become part of who we are. And there are places that are home.

Not simply because of where we went or what we saw, but because of the people we shared them with. The conversations, the laughter, the ordinary little moments that made those days entirely our own.

I think there's something so beautiful about the way we collect pieces of our lives in places all over the world.

And how, sometimes, a photograph can take us right back.

The kind of day that reminds me just how wonderful it is to gather all your favorite people in one place. The anticipation, the happy tears, the laughter that carries across the room, and all the little moments happening in between.

There's something so magical about watching two people celebrate a life together, surrounded by the people who have loved them along the way.

Some places invite you to experience life a little differently.

Set along Northern California's rugged Sonoma coastline, The Sea Ranch Lodge is one of those places. Cedar-clad architecture, warm wood interiors, windswept meadows, and the Pacific stretching endlessly beyond the windows.

It's quietly luxurious, but never at the expense of its surroundings. Everything here feels connected to the landscape, from the architecture to the slower rhythm of the days.

And perhaps that's what makes it such an extraordinary setting for a wedding weekend. Long walks along the coast, fireside conversations, beautiful meals, and the kind of unhurried time together that becomes part of the story.

Wild, architectural, soulful, and entirely its own.

There is a difference between making a photograph beautiful and allowing something beautiful to happen in front of you.

I believe in both. In knowing when to offer direction, when to look a little closer, and when to simply let life unfold.

The photographs I return to most often aren't always the grandest or the most perfectly composed. They're the ones that remind you what it felt like to be there.

You were never meant to perform your own memories.

And I think that's worth remembering.
