Totally unedited, but I need to share these images, essentially straight out of the camera. I had the opportunity to go up to about 10k feet on Mauna Kea last night to shoot the Milky Way. To say that it was awe inspiring is to diminish the experience, given how we've lessened the phrase's meaning of late. It was absolutely staggering to the point of briefly getting disoriented. I hope to edit these when I return and really make them pop. Naked-eye, it looked fairly close to the black and white image shared here. Previously, even in a dark area of Colorado, I've only seen a faint grey smear in the sky. This was so far beyond that, words don't come easily. Enjoy! (I'm sure Facebook will destroy the quality of these images.)

Went back to Kenosha Pass this weekend to take our annual holiday card photo. Amazing how even in a single day so many leaves have already fallen off the trees.

Took a drive up to Kenosha Pass this afternoon and the colors were incredible! Looks like I managed to hit peak!
