Some stories I'm lucky enough to capture more than once.🩵

I photographed these two when they were just dating in 2023. Then I watched them promise forever to each other on the beach in 2024.

And now, in 2026, I got to meet them back by the water. This time as a family of three, chasing around their sweet one-year-old!

Dating. Wedding day. And now this chapter of parenthood.

There's something incredibly special about realizing my camera has gotten to witness pieces of their story as it's grown right along with them.🩵

✨Come sit, let’s chat!✨

If I’ve seemed a little quiet on here lately, it’s because I have been BUSY. Like…wake up, edit, homeschool my 6-year-old, edit some more, start dinner, get ready, head to my sessions, come home and sit right back down at my computer to edit again. Sleep. Repeat. 🤭

That has pretty much been my rotation for the last several months — and while it’s definitely a busy season of life, I’m also incredibly grateful that this little business keeps me this busy.

As I’ve mentioned before, my turnaround times are running slower than I would personally like right now. But I want my current clients to know that behind the scenes, I am editing. Every. Single. Day. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 I’m working through galleries in the order they were photographed and giving each one the same time and attention!

So as always, THANK YOU for your patience, your sweet messages, your excitement when those galleries finally hit your inbox, and especially for continuing to trust me with your families!!!

As we head into the last quarter of the year, I have SO much I’ve been wanting to talk about over here. So consider this your official BOLO….👀

• AI + photography—especially the conversations happening around images of children online, what photographers can and cannot control, and how I plan to approach it with Barefoot Birdie.

• 2027 Barefoot Birdie changes—some changes are coming to my session dynamics, pricing and overall client experience.

• What 2026 taught me—what worked, what I want to change and how those lessons are shaping Barefoot Birdie going into my FIFTH YEAR!!! 😱

August is officially wrapping up and what a season it has been.

I consider my "busy season" to run from March through the end of October. While my "peak" summer season" is dwindling down, busy season definitely isn't over yet!

From March 1st through today, August 30th--which is 183 days--I have photographed 131 sessions. That is 131 times someone chose me to document their family, their babies, their senior and a season of their lives! I am SO incredibly blessed.

September has VERY limited availability, but October still has a bit of room on my calendar!

If you're headed to the beach, need updated family portraits around the Eastern Shore or Mobile, or have a 2027 Senior who needs some fun senior casuals--I'd love the opportunity to meet and work with you!
