A wonderful client sent this to me a few months ago. She’s a dedicated mom to two amazing girls, and she and her husband have created such a loving family. She was so kind to honor my contribution to preserving her family's memories.

I do agree that photographers are memory keepers. But parents, especially moms, are the memory creators. From organizing all the kids’ activities to making Christmas magic to booking photographers who build those family albums on her behalf, moms have the vision to make it all come true.

I see you out there, Mom. You’re doing really good. You may not hear that too often. But you’re doing a great job.

I’m delighted to share this opportunity for young artists. The Garage Arts Project creates a collaborative and supportive environment for artists to explore and expand.

The family helped me test out my new mini video cam this weekend. I learned that dynamic shots involve a lot more cardio on my part than I expected. These kids are World Cup ready.

The best part is that the former camera-shy kiddo is begging for more sports sizzle reels with T**i Olivia. Finally found my hook with that one.

Hats off to , Class of 2026! This young lady is beautiful inside & out, and I know she will thrive in her college career.

Be sure to hug your mom and dad tightly these next few months. It's not easy to watch your babies grow up and leave the nest - but we know you'll soar.

Congratulations to and all the seniors in the Class of 2026!

We are so proud of you and are wishing you the best in your next chapter. Keep chasing those big goals!

Oh, and when you walk tomorrow night we are all just suffering from allergies. Just allergies. Pass the tissues, please.

Last week I immersed myself in continuing education for my photography business at the renowned Texas School of Photography. This is the 51st year photographers from all over the country gathered to live and breathe photography together for a week.

Awards are presented, shopping is enjoyed, technical knowledge is gained, breakthroughs in photography are made, and lifelong friendships are created. Everyone says the Texas School experience is special, and I believe that's true. There’s a little magic there.

Texans are friendly. Friendliness turns into generosity. I think that’s the magic sauce. There’s no gatekeeping, only encouragement. We want our colleagues to succeed. That’s it.

I am thankful for the mentors and colleagues who have poured into me over the years, which have helped lead to my successes. And I’m even more grateful to have started giving back to the new Texas School attendees. See you next year.

I was delighted to receive my copy of TPO magazine and found two of my photo stories inside, along with my portrait of Joe Thompson on the cover.

Returning to the Riverbed plant in Aubrey for his profile was a great experience - familiar, friendly faces welcomed me back. I first met the team two years ago when I was assigned to photograph Jody Zabolio. I was again impressed by the cohesive community they have created and saw firsthand how supportive Joe Thompson is in mentoring new technicians.

I wonder which award-winning plant I’ll visit next.

The May issue of TPO Magazine is LIVE — and Joe Thompson is the face of this month’s cover 👏

News to share! I’m honored to announce that I have been selected as the Community & Development Director for the Garage Arts Project, a nonprofit that connects people through art.

I am delighted to continue my commitment to expanding artistic connections through our communities and to expanding opportunities for artists. My new role allows me to make synergistic connections with artists, businesses, and organizations to create new partnerships. I think of it as playing matchmaker for creative minds.

This new role complements my ongoing work on the board of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco beautifully. I look forward to working as a bridge between many communities and creating more connections.

Thank you to the GAP board for their trust. I can’t wait to help implement their programs.

The evening opens with Through the Dissonance, a reflective work that explores the delicate dynamics of friendship and the ways we try to hold space for those closest to us. The evening continues with Kismet with Kali, a multidisciplinary performance weaving movement, poetry, theatre, and live music...
