still working on a few galleries and working hard to get them done before the end of the year.

this year was a particularly slow year but a lot of it had to do with me and my battle with my mental health. I always say “I’m gonna work harder next year…” and so on. But I don’t know if I will. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Regardless of what happened this year, I’m always so grateful for those of you who hire me. I still love what I do even if my socials don’t reflect that 😝

sometimes going back to an old shoot can be so therapeutic ✨ it’s been a tough year. my mental health sucks. And I swear, every single post of mine is probably me talking about how I never post and it’s always about my mental health. That’s because posting on socials greatly impacts me. being on socials greatly impacts me. So I purposefully choose to not be on here.

Doesn’t mean I’m not around still! I still run my website, I still reply to inquiries and work with current and new clients. Socials just wasn’t the end all be all for me anymore. And that’s okay.

These are oldies but goodies and so happy I went back to this gallery. I hadn’t even published it yet 🫣 but it’s here now. To everyone on the vendor team, I’ll be sending these out soon! 🫶🏻

the very first wedding I ever shot happened just like this one. I was reached out to, roughly a week before the ceremony, contract was sent and everything was booked in a matter of days.

Jacqueline and Daren did this exact same thing and truly, one of my favorite was to document love. 🫶🏻

Okay don’t hate me. It’s been 525,600 minutes (you know what I did there), since I last posted. But if I’m going to be honest, I hate posting now. It doesn’t suit me. It makes me so anxious. I feel like absolute s**t when I even think about posting.

But I’m going to try to not feel that way anymore and instead, post what I want, when I want and all notifications are being turned off 🎉

Here’s a photoshoot that made me so happy, I forgot how much I missed being a photographer (let’s be real here, hadn’t had a shoot in a few months).

coming back from taking a long break has had many challenges that I’ve had to face to get back into the swing of things, including telling myself my work isn’t good enough, and asking why bother.

Essentially I’ve been throwing myself a pity party for the past several months. 🙄

I really struggle with not being nice to myself. what has helped me tremendously is when my clients keep coming back again and again.

Just like Erin & Chris did. I shot their wedding in April of 2022. It was a beautiful wedding in Gruene, Texas (pronounced “Green” for you non Texas folks) and there were challenges. I made a few mistakes and I even had equipment malfunctioning making me feel like I ruined Erin and Chris’ special day.

Erin and Chris were nothing but kind to me through it all. And they still ended up hiring me to take maternity photos for their announcement of having TWINS.

It truly has been a whirlwind of a year, even more so the last few months.

But I’m looking forward to 2025 ✨🖤
