One day, her mama wore this dress.

Now she’s wearing it.

And just like that, the years between them don’t feel quite so far apart.

The sweetest heirlooms aren’t the ones worth the most money—they’re the ones filled with memories. ✨

DFW Family Photos for sentimental souls 🤍

A miracle: two animals both with their ears up staying still at the same time✨

One of my main goals as your photographer is to set everyone up for success, that includes the animals. We didn’t just throw everyone in for the picture. They were able to settle separately with their human, see each other from afar since they aren’t together often, and then get closer with mom in the middle. We even had grandma on the side helping to keep attention and who could step in and grab Callie (the dog) if needed.

Ever wanted to get photos with your pets but was worried it would be too much? Reach out to me and let’s find a way to make that happen that sets everyone up for success!!

A little update around here 🤍

Over the last few months, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I want people to feel when they look back at their photos years from now.

Not just how the moments looked — but how they felt to live in.

The quiet snuggles. The chaos of toddlers. The way your kids reach for your hand without thinking. The in-between moments that end up meaning everything later.

That heart behind what I do is what led me to Found & Felt.

So while this page will now officially become Found & Felt Families, I’ve also created a separate space just for weddings over at 🤍⛪️

Families and weddings both matter so deeply to me, but they deserve their own homes — and this change will let me serve both in a more intentional way.

If you’ve been here for years supporting Kirsten Cozart Photography… thank you. Truly. This business has grown because of the people who trusted me to tell their stories, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead.

Nothing about the heart behind my work is changing — only growing into something that feels even more aligned with why I started this in the first place.

I’m so happy you’re here 🫶

Part 3 of Its a Small Big World:
This one still makes me laugh because WHAT are the odds.

I had worked with Joan for a couple years before realizing her husband’s nephew’s wife was actually my sister’s college roommate, and still a very good friend! Who I have known since I was 10 🤯

Jess had come to our family thanksgivings, was in Courtney’s wedding, and when I lived in Waco I babysat her kids when they were very young.
And somehow we didn’t figure it out until I was getting ready for their first family photo session that she and Joan were connected. I’ve since had several opportunities to capture various sessions for this crew, and every time it reminds me how blessed I am.

The more people I photograph, the more this world starts to feel beautifully connected in ways I never expect.

One conversation leads to another.
One family turns into three.
One relationship somehow circles back years later through completely different people.

It’s one of my favorite parts of this job honestly — realizing photography isn’t just about documenting people.

It’s about the relationships that quietly tie all of us together.

It’s a small big world part 2:

This is Joan.

She started as my mentor in highschool.
Turned into my coworker after college.
And now I get to take photos for her and her family — even after she moved.

She and her family are some of the kindest, most generous people I know and she is someone who has encouraged me through more seasons of life than she probably realizes.

The older I get, the more the world feels both really big and incredibly small at the same time.

The people who impact us somehow keep finding their way back into our stories in different forms.
And then one day they’re standing in front of your camera with the people they love most.

Honestly, getting to document people through all these overlapping seasons of life is one of my favorite parts of what I do 🤍

The world feels both so big and so incredibly small to me lately. So I’m going to do a fun little series called It’s a Small Big World featuring how different people all connect in ways you’d never thing.

When I started photographing families, I knew I wanted to document the people in a way that felt personal and honest — but I don’t think I realized just how much this business would intertwine with the people already closest to me.

Starting with my sister and her sweet little family 🤍

Getting to freeze moments for people you love deeply is such a different kind of special. The inside jokes, the chaos, the comfort, the way everyone naturally settles into each other.

It reminds me that the photos we treasure most usually aren’t about perfection.
They’re about connection.

And somehow all of these people, stories, and relationships continue to overlap in the sweetest ways.

Baby Conkle will be here so soon and I cannot wait to meet her and have the opportunity to witness and freeze in time the very first days of her life 🤍

Being a part of her baby shower already tells me that she is loved beyond measure — not only by her mamma, but by everyone who loves her mom, too!

There’s something different about photographing a family on land that holds generations of memories. The same fields where kids once ran barefoot are now filled with great grandkids making memories of their own.

So many stories, so much history, and a whole lot of love woven into every corner of this place. What a special thing to witness and be trusted to capture 🤍

Moe is the type of horse that changes colors with the seasons, and his owner had never gotten spring photos with him before 🌿

With him getting older, this season felt like the perfect time to document the two of them together and preserve these memories that will last forever 🤍
