Family session with the Butler's

Sweet Ellie and her family came to see me this summer to capture their family before their baby boy grows more and I'm so in love. I love looking back at pictures of my little man when he was this small, so I know they will cherish these forever as well.

Ellie, Tillman, Quincy, and Reba 🐾, thank you for coming to frolic in tall grass with me. It was truly so special and so much fun (especially playing fetch with Reba 😂).

Fall is coming. Which means more families to get to meet, and see again. I'm so excited!

Ivan and Olivia

2 precious souls who found all the best things about love in each other.

Olivia reached out to get an official photo session with her boyfriend before she left town for a few months. She warned me he may be shy, but I'd say that he was naturally calm. Down for anything. And so dang obsessed with his honey. She wanted to include their cars and ditch the traditional open field vibe. Something that feels magically true to them. I think we checked all the boxes.

These are something they will hold onto for those few months away, and honestly, forever 🩵

20 years

20 years of being a Dia-Baddie! My friend, Rachel, marked her 20th year of living with diabetes this past weekend. But baby, that will never stop her! She's learned the fight and the growth that comes with it. And I'm so proud of her.

So many friends of mine also live with Diabetes and can attest to the highs and lows of it. When Rachel reached out wanting to do a shoot to celebrate her triumph, I knew this was heartfelt and so so special. I loved every bit of it!

Rachel girl, keep on going! You haven't let it define you, yet it continues to make you stronger each day. Love you, sister!

Give her all the love! She deserves it!

Baby Settle

The grand finale to their beautiful family. My sweet friends Jerry and Victoria recently welcomed their baby and I'm so smitten. She's absolutely precious. You both are amazing parents to all 3 of your babies. I'm so excited to hear about all of her milestones and see more of her cute lil smile.

This day felt amazing! In the middle of that awful heatwave back in June, we were blessed with this breezy cool evening and it was so perfect.

I have so much work to still share from this spring and summer with delicious moments just like this.

Life is better on a boat. And honestly, so are your family portraits.

When Abby reached out wanting to update her family pictures, she had a vision in mind- water! After some back and forth, we just knew their family boat would be PERFECT! True to them. True to their life as a family. True to their favorite memories together.

We hopped on their boat. Blasted some tunes. Had some watermelon and brownies, and went full send on the lake. THIS WAS FUN! I had such a ball with them. Laughing, dancing, and just surrounded by pure love and chaos. They came as they are, where they belong ✨

Abby, my swole-sister, thank you for inviting me out! This was special!

My precious Skylar! Words will never describe the way my heart beats for her and her adorable family.

Watching this season of her life can make me a lil teary-eyed. When I walked in her home, I immediately felt the love. The pictures on the wall. The soft whimpers of a new baby. Big brother's feet scattering around, as he peeked down the steps to inspect the visitor who was here to take their pictures.

Then I walked into the nursery. Everything there with a purpose. With love. With mama's touch.

Skylar + Co., this is HOME! Exactly what it's suppose to feel like. I'm so thankful I got to hang out with your family, even for our little hour together. Many blessings to you all 🩵

Baby Orange 🍊

Johnnae always seems to amaze me. Her natural beauty plus her ability to be one amazing mama and wife. I love our time together. I've been photographing Johnnae since my first round of fall minis. Experiencing her life through my lens has been a blessing- so I'm showing her off again!

She's effortless. Working with her feels like an honor. Knowing her has been a gift.

Ella 🌻

This sweet girl met me on a scorching day to capture the beginning of an end- her senior year! The memories made during senior year are some I still hang on to myself. It's a bittersweet year. Ella, I know you will make it the best year ever! Congrats on your final year!

I met Ella this past spring when I photographed her sister's senior pictures. They both are such kind gentle souls. I'm so thankful to continue working with my families 🩷

Alexis, Jamie, and Scooby

This weekend's surprise proposal was so heartfelt. So many emotions surrounded by love. Alexis aunt reached out to me a couple weeks ago wanting to get her niece and her boyfriend a photoshoot while they were visiting with their pup.

Being a fur mama, I said YES (duh)! Then, a couple days before the session, her aunt texted me again saying:

"So… I gotta add a surprise to the photo shoot. Our nieces BF just called asking for permission to marry her. He was gonna do the proposal during the photo shoot if that’s ok with you."

The weather was yucky that day, but that won't stop plans like this! We started with just Alexis and Jamie in an open field so we didn't exhaust Scooby since he wasn't feeling too good. We made it through the first half of the session fighting humidity. When we made it back to the house, Alexis goes to grab Scooby and to her surprise, he had a new bandana and she says "what do you have on?" And well.... I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story 🥹

Alexis and Jamie, I'm so happy for you! Sending love to you both and all my love to Scooby as well. He is such a good boy and I know he felt surrounded by love. The kisses on Jamie let me know he approved of the proposal too. Many blessings, friends!
