Tomorrow I leave for what feels like a photographer’s dream trip—headed to 📍Oakley, Kansas, and then on to Colorado📍
Before I go, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to every person who has booked a session, shared my work, encouraged me, trusted me with your memories, or spoken a kind word about my photography. Whether you told me how much I've grown, how much you love your images, or that you believe I have a bright future ahead of me, please know that I carry those words with me. They mean more than you'll ever know.
But above all, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
None of this would be possible without Him. Every opportunity, every door opened, every lesson learned, every person placed in my path has been by His grace. He has been with me through every step of this journey. He has carried me through moments of doubt, celebrated with me in moments of success, and surrounded me with the people I needed exactly when I needed them.
In 2025, I took a leap of faith and started this photography business. Since then, I have worked harder than I ever thought possible. If I've ever photographed you, I hope you know that I gave it everything I had. Not just to take a pretty picture, but to tell your story and preserve moments that matter.
This trip isn't about being better than anyone else. It never has been.
It's about becoming better than the person I was yesterday.
Some of the things we'll be photographing in Kansas and Colorado are unlike anything I get to photograph here at home. We'll be pushed outside our comfort zones, challenged to adapt quickly, and tested as photographers in ways that can only make us grow. And that's exactly why I'm going.
I also want to thank Hannah Heatherly Chambers RoadRunner Media for agreeing to go on this adventure with me before we'd even really had the chance to hang out. I still don’t even know her middle name lol Hannah is incredibly talented, and she's just getting started. I truly believe she's going to do amazing things. Photography doesn't have to be about competition. Sometimes it's about linking arms with someone who shares the same passion, encouraging one another, learning together, and becoming the best versions of yourselves along the way.
As I head out tomorrow, I have one favor to ask.
Please say a prayer for safe travels, open eyes, a teachable spirit, and that I soak up every lesson God has waiting for me on this journey.
Thank you for being part of this dream. Thank you for believing in me. And thank you, Jesus, for allowing a small-town girl with a camera to live a life she once only imagined. ❤️📷✝️
