Hello my beautiful people! ๐ค
I wanted to share a little business update as we head into a new season for Elizabeth Dawn Photography!
It is absolutely WILD to say that I have now been in full business, straight up GRINDING, for 8 years and 9 months! ๐ฅน I am beyond thankful for every single person who has trusted me to capture their families, babies, weddings, milestones and everything in between. So many of you have gone from clients to friends and truly feel like family at this point. โค๏ธ
And after almost NINE YEARS of working incredibly hard to build this little business of mine, I think Iโve finally reached a season where itโs okay to slow down a little. Not stop. Not step away. Just slow down. ๐ค Iโve spent so many years saying yes, filling my calendar, working weekends, editing late into the night and pouring so much of myself into this business. Iโm incredibly proud of what Iโve built, but Iโm also at a place in life where I want to enjoy what Iโve worked so hard to create while making sure Iโm leaving plenty of room for the people I built it all around in the first place. โค๏ธ
As most of you know, we will be welcoming our 5th little love this November, and with that comes a few changes to my availability going into 2027!
After baby arrives, Elizabeth Dawn Photography will still be open for inquiries and bookings! I will continue accepting retainers and reserving future dates during my maternity leave. However, I will not be adding any new sessions to my shooting calendar before February 2027. If you are already on my books during that time, donโt worry! Those sessions and weddings will still be fulfilled as planned. ๐ค
Beginning in February, my plan for at least the first half of 2027 is to schedule sessions ONLY on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. This is subject to change as we settle into life with five kiddos, but that will be my starting schedule!
With only three days a week available, one weekend day, this also means I will have significantly fewer session dates to offer than I have in years past. So if you already know youโre going to want family photos, maternity, milestones, engagements or anything else with me in 2027, please donโt wait until the last minute to reach out! You are absolutely welcome to book and reserve those 2027 dates NOW. Once my available dates are claimed, I simply wonโt have the flexibility to squeeze in additional sessions like I have been able to do in the past. ๐ค๐ธ
I have littles who have developed some BIG interests in sports, and as much as I absolutely love this business, being their mama comes first. I want to make sure my schedule leaves room for practices, games, family time and simply being present for them in this season of life. I donโt want to look back and realize I was so busy building a beautiful business that I missed getting to enjoy this beautiful life alongside it. ๐ฅนโค๏ธ
Because of this, I will also be limiting the number of weddings I accept for 2027. If you know you want me to photograph your 2027 wedding, I highly recommend reaching out during 2026 rather than waiting until next year. With fewer session days and a limited number of weddings being accepted, my 2027 availability will be much more limited than youโre used to seeing from me. Once those wedding dates are spoken for, theyโre spoken for!
Elizabeth Dawn Photography isnโt going anywhere! ๐ธ๐ค I will still be in full business and doing what I have loved doing for nearly nine years. My availability just wonโt be quite as flexible as it has been in the past, and I think after almost nine years of pouring my heart into this, Iโve earned the chance to be a little more intentional with where my time goes.
I have been so incredibly blessed by this business and by the people it has brought into my life. I truly believe the clients who are meant for me will understand and respect this new season, and I cannot thank you enough for continuing to support not only my business, but my family behind it too. ๐ฅน
