Merrit’s Mill Pond 2.0?

This is actually Waddle’s Mill Pond which I was told looks like Merrit’s should look without all of the algae. However even Waddle’s looks like it’s getting choked out. 😢

One of the hardest springs to get to, that I know of.

A twelve mile paddle down a river through rapids, alligators, and snakes to get here. Then once you do get here there is a long shallow limestone spring run that is super slippery and almost impossible not to fall. 😂

Something sinister is afoot on the Chipola River! 😢

Numerous fish and even a gator were seen floating in the Chipola River this week. We went out on a boat with Lost World Excavations and Laney Toliver from News 13 to see for ourselves.

I have been told that the FWC has retrieved samples from the river and sent them out for testing. I’ll let y’all know as soon as I find out.

Found these rapids today on the Chipola River. I can’t believe how low the River is right now. I love how crystal clear the water is here though.

Went back to Blackwater River right outside of Downtown Milton and got some drone footage. First time back here since all the rivers flooded.

I never realized Defuniak Springs had such a lovely downtown area right next to Lake Defuniak which I’ve filmed numerous times. ❤️

First time flying over here since the massive log jam we had here a couple of months ago. The water looks low right now but it’s just so purty.
