Join me for a relaxed and creative afternoon of field sketching, nature, and mindful observation on Sunday, September 20, from 1:30–4:00 p.m. at the Babble Brook Pavilion in North Park, located near the corner of Ingomar and Babcock Boulevards in the North Hills/McCandless area. Parking and bathrooms are across from the pavilion.
During our time together, we’ll explore the therapeutic benefits of spending time in nature and learn how field journaling and sketching can help us slow down, become more present, notice what is around us, and reduce stress.
No drawing, botanical, or field-journaling experience is needed. Simply bring your curiosity, a love of nature, and whatever art supplies you would enjoy using.
I’ve attached a two-page flyer with additional details, including a suggested supply list. Please feel free to bring art materials you already own—there is absolutely no need to purchase anything new. For anyone who doesn’t currently have supplies, I’ve also created an Amazon list with a few suggestions. The list is simply a resource, not a required shopping list. Any brand or type of supplies you enjoy working with is welcome.
Come spend an afternoon noticing, creating, and reconnecting with the natural world. I’d love to have you join me.
Fee is $25. Click on the link below to register. Attendance is limited to 15 participants.
