POSING TIPS for your upcoming shoot!

If you're looking to have photos done, knowing how to pose can sometimes be intimidating. I love working with my clients to help them find the perfect pose for the perfect shot, however I have a few tips when going into a shoot that could help you feel more confident about your poses!

1. Shift your weight. Find the side that you feel most relaxed placing your weight on. If you pose on one side and it doesn't feel quite right, shift the weight to the other. This is a great way to get a natural and comfortable looking pose.

2. For a feminine look, aim for an S shape. No I don't mean YMCA style lol but popping your hip, and turning one knee into the other can create a cute S shape that shows off the curves of your body more. This is ideal for a feminine look!

3. Bend your elbows ever so slightly, leaving space between your arms and your waist. This is perfect for avoiding a boxy look and gives you more dimension. Arms straight at your sides can take away from your body shape.

4. Shoulders down! Sometimes it can feel funny to focus on shoulders down but this helps elongate your neck and keep you from looking hunched over. If you focus on anything, I highly recommend this one!

5. If your mouth is closed, place your tongue on the roof of your mouth. This will help define your jawline a little bit.
