We took HUNDREDS of beautiful fall photos with the Whipkey family. Gorgeous colors, pretty light, all the things I love about fall sessions!

But at the very end, the boys just wanted to go play on the beach. So I followed them down for a few minutes and grabbed a few shots of this family just being themselves.

And WHY are these my favorite images from the entire session?! 😂

If you know my work, you know I LOVE color. It's kind of my thing. But something about this little set just screamed black and white to me.

No posing. No direction. Just the boys having fun and mom and dad soaking it all in.

Sometimes my favorite photos end up being the ones we didn't plan at all. ❤️

It's EDITING DAY at NHP!!

And I thought I'd share a little BEFORE & AFTER of Giada from Mathews High School!

When it comes to editing, I've always believed LESS IS MORE! We work REALLY hard to get things right IN CAMERA, which is why you'll almost always see us dragging lights around on location! But don't get me wrong... we can 100% shoot natural light too! It's all about knowing what works best for the location, lighting, and overall look we're going for!

The best part? YOU don't have to worry about any of that. That's our job!

Great lighting makes a HUGE difference, and when we get it right from the start, we don't have to spend hours in Photoshop trying to fix things later!

Take a look at Giada's before and after! A few simple adjustments to color, contrast, and exposure can make all the difference!

NHP VARSITY 2028 IS OFFICIALLY COMING TOGETHER!

We just sent out our first round of acceptance letters to an amazing group of Class of 2028 seniors representing Chalker, United Local, Canfield, Champion, Maplewood, Kenston, and Western Reserve!

And we're still looking for a few more seniors to join us!

One thing I'm doing differently this time around is intentionally keeping NHP Varsity a smaller, more personal experience. I want every single member to get the individual attention, creative opportunities, and overall experience they deserve.

This isn't about having the biggest team. It's about bringing together a great group of seniors, creating some incredible memories, and making sure everyone feels like an important part of the experience!

If you have a Class of 2028 senior who loves being in front of the camera, making new friends, and trying something new, this is an opportunity you won't want them to miss!

We're especially hoping to add seniors from schools that aren't already represented on our team!

Absolutely loved spending time with Isabella from Lordstown High School for her senior session! Between the gorgeous locations, beautiful light, and a special appearance from her feathered friend, this session was one for the books!

I love when seniors bring a little piece of their personality into their photos!

I’ve been wanting to bring back our senior rep program, but I knew if we did it again, I wanted to completely rethink it.

More creativity. More chances to meet seniors from other schools. And a whole year of shoots that are completely different from your regular senior session.

So say hello to NHP VARSITY.

For the Class of 2028, we’re looking for seniors from across Northeast Ohio and Western PA to represent NHP throughout their senior year. Ideally, I’d love to have 1-2 rep from each high school and build a team full of different personalities, styles, sports, activities and interests.

And no, you absolutely do NOT have to be a model. 😂

Another awesome year with New Wave Dance Company! 💙

Media Days are such a great way to kick off a new competition year. New routines, new goals and a whole new season ahead!

We love getting the chance to photograph these dancers every year and give them images that show off their personality, confidence and style. There’s just something about Media Day that makes the start of competition season feel OFFICIAL!
