Bryson City, NC and Fontana Lake: After about 10 years of wanting to visit the "Tunnel to Nowhere - A Broken Promise" my friend John and I finally got to do it. We were also able to stop and admire the Fontana Lake as well. You enjoy a six mile scenic drive to the tunnel entrance. The tunnel was built in the 1940's but never finished. It is 1/4 mile in length and be sure to bring a flashlight.

Mingo Falls (Big Bear in Cherokee) is located in Cherokee, NC. It is 120 feet tall and you need to hike up 160 stairs to reach the platform at the base of the waterfall where you will find benches for a much needed rest. Please enjoy my photos from my recent trip.

My best friend John and I rented a cabin in the Cherokee, NC and spent 3 days deep in the Smokie Mountains on a photography expedition. When I say deep in the mountains, I mean deep.
