I love these. Probably because I love these people so much, but also these photos feel "lived in" to me. Sweet friends hanging out as a family and keeping it simple.

I loved experimenting with multiple light sources, the warmth of the lamp, and the wall. Can we have a moment for the wall!!

I'm not always the best with words, but these photos FEEL precious, perfectly imperfect, warm, and being invited into the fleeting, sweet season of the fourth trimester. 🩵

Life is precious. Hold your people close. Love them hard. Cherish the memories and make as many as you can. Pray for one another. Let go of the little tiffs that don't matter in the end. Hold hands. Laugh at the silly moments. Kiss your loved ones goodnight and good morning. Take the photos. The days can be long but the years are short. Thank you Jesus for the dearest of family and friends, and the time that we get here on earth.

Evil and badness is very prevalent in this world. We all see it, hear about it, and can experience it daily. But my goodness… Something that the Lord keeps reminding me of through all of these years is that there is still so much goodness and light in this world.

A couple of months ago I came across Proverbs 11:27- "He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it." It reminds me of the phrase, "Focus on the good and you'll find good. Focus on the bad and you'll find bad." Our lives and minds reflect what we focus on. God has really been working extra on me with that since being pregnant and having Annie!

There's always chaos with children, and running errands with them is something I have to do a lot. It's easy and natural for me to focus on the bad: I'm exhausted, it's hot, kids are crying / whiny, some people are rude, prices are high, etc. Things like that could ruin the moment or the day. There are also so many good things nestled in there too though: Millie helping make Annie laugh, my health, a stranger taking my buggy for me, a working car with working AC, a smile from a neighbor across the road, a text from a friend, a first bloom in the garden, and grace, patience, forgiveness from God in my heart to give to myself, my family, and others.

I want to focus on the good to see more good. No, we can't always ignore the bad and act like it isn't there; we shouldn't do that anyways. There is a time and place to fight against it. But there is enough energy and attention already put on the bad. Some days I fail at this and give in to the negativity.

God is really helping me lean more into the good with each day! I want to search for the light and be a light in this dark world. What are some things lately (big or small) that have been some added goodness to your day? ☺️
