Another year, another Arnold in the books. This marked our 5th year covering and providing media for USA Powerlifting at the Arnold Sports Festival, and just like every year before it, I find myself getting a little emotional when it’s all over.
My first time attending the Arnold was in 2014, 12 years ago. I remember being completely in awe of the scale and magnitude of the event. Ever since I first became interested in lifting weights, the Arnold has always felt like a cornerstone of the fitness world.
Over the years, the Arnold has evolved for USA Powerlifting, but one thing has never changed, the energy and camaraderie. In my experience, there’s nothing quite like it in fitness. As a media team, we were able to capture so many incredible moments this weekend: the battles on the platform, the excitement in the crowd, the raw emotion, and the passion that makes this event what it is.
I’m incredibly proud of this group. We pushed through three long days, driven by nothing more than our love for the sport and the work we get to do for powerlifting. Huge thank you to .prana and .52 , and most importantly to my beautiful wife, . None of this would be the same without you.
I don’t usually share much about our personal lives on social media, but this feels too special not to share… We’re expecting a baby girl in June! I’m beyond excited to become a father.
Sometimes I think about my younger self, and he probably wouldn’t believe where life has taken me. We’re building a life together, one goals turn into achievements, and achievements turn into dreams come true.
And through it all, my gratitude for Alysia and for the friends and family who support us along the way is something I can’t truly put into words.
Here’s to the memories we made this weekend, the ones still to come, and the next chapter of life that’s just beginning. ❤️
