When Lorice reached out about her senior photos, she knew one thing for sure: she wanted flowers! 🌸 But with it being October, I knew we needed to get a little creative to make that happen!

Rockefeller Greenhouse was the perfect solution! With all the beautiful flowers and greenery, we were able to bring a little bit of spring into her fall senior session. But Lorice had another location on her wish list too, Edgewater Park! So we decided to make an adventure out of it and head to both!

We went from being surrounded by tropical plants and colorful flowers to enjoying the sunshine, sand, and waves along Lake Erie. And of course, we had to take advantage of that gorgeous blue dress by getting her feet in the water!

One of my favorite things about senior sessions is getting to incorporate the things that make each person unique. Lorice brought so much personality, beautiful smiles, and a little bit of fun to every stop along the way.

Two locations, three outfits, and so many beautiful moments! Lorice, you absolutely rocked your senior session! 💕

Senior photos with Dylan! 🎓📸

I absolutely loved this session. Mostly because I could tell that every increasingly ridiculous thing I was saying behind the camera to get a real smile was earning me a “seriously?” look from Dylan. 😂

And honestly, those are some of my favorite moments to capture.

Especially that last photo. I told him to “look off into your future.” He did, but he was looking VERY seriously into said future… so naturally I followed it up with “now smile at your future.” 😂

That’s when he turned his head and gave me that perfect slightly annoyed, but also trying not to laugh look you give a parent when they’re embarrassing you.

Sorry Dylan, but it worked. 🤷‍♀️

Such a fun senior session, and I LOVE how these turned out!

In the middle of Lorice’s senior photo shoot, this seagull tried to steal her shoes! 😂 So, of course, she chased him, and I kept snapping photos!

You never know what’s going to happen during a photo shoot! 📸

This session was a little extra special for me. ❤️

My old coworker Mikey gifted his wife a family photo session, with two requests: get them done BEFORE Ohio decided it was fall 😂 and keep things fun and natural.

So, we headed to Chippewa Creek in Brecksville while everything was still green! We started with some of the more traditional family photos, but then everyone changed, kicked off their shoes, and got in the water.

And those are ALWAYS some of my favorite photos. The ones where everyone gets to stop worrying about posing, have some fun together, and I just get to capture it.

Mikey was genuinely one of my favorite people to work with at my old job, so getting to do this for him and his family made this session even better. ❤️

Give me the posed photos but then let’s go play in the creek. 😂📸

Waiting for Baby Gibson. ❤️

Katie is the older sister of one of my best friends, but somewhere along the way, their entire family became a second family to me. So getting to capture this next chapter for Katie and her husband was pretty special.

They're expecting their first baby, and for now, we all get to know this little one simply as Baby Gibson. 🥹

Their name will have to wait until they make their big arrival, but one thing is already VERY clear... this baby is incredibly loved and surrounded by a whole lot of people who can't wait to meet them. ❤️

I can't wait to meet you📸❤️

Senior photos with Charlotte! 🎓📸

This was, without question, the most adventurous photo shoot I have ever been on. 😂

Charlotte chose this location because her mom used to bring her and her siblings here when they were younger, so it was important to her to capture the rocks, the falls, and a place that already held so many memories.

She also came with one VERY specific goal: she wanted to get in that water.
And I was 100% on board. 😂

We got a ton of great photos while we worked our way toward the main event. And when you get to the photos of Charlotte sitting on the tree, just know that the nice, peaceful final image does NOT adequately represent the questionable decisions happening on both sides of the camera to get it. 😂

Then we finally made it to the moment we'd both been waiting for: INTO THE WATER.

Charlotte, thank you for bringing me along for the adventure. I had an absolute blast creating these with you! ❤️📸

Meet Jacob! 🎓📸

Jacob is the baby brother of one of my best friends, so getting to do his senior photos was already pretty special.

He’s also a musician, so when he said he wanted to do his photos at Severance Hall and around University Circle, it was pretty much the perfect setting for him.

What I loved most, though, was that Jacob came with IDEAS. He knew things he wanted to try, brought different looks, and fully made the session his own. We even stopped in the middle of everything for a mini photo shoot with some of his favorite stuffies.

Senior photos should actually feel like you, and I think we definitely accomplished that with this one.

Congrats Jacob! Enjoy your Senior Year!

🎃📸 It’s officially time for one of my FAVORITE events to photograph, West Clinton Historic Haunts at Near West Theatre!

And let me tell you… they upped the spooky this year. 👻

Historic Haunts is always one of the shoots I look forward to most, but this year’s might be one of my favorites yet. They brought back everything I love about this event, turned the creepy up a few notches, and somehow still kept all the weird, funny, wonderful energy that makes Historic Haunts what it is.

And making this year even more special for me, it was directed by my dear friend Anna! ❤️ Watching someone I love create something this damn fun and then getting to photograph it? Pretty freaking great.

If you’ve never been, Historic Haunts is a lantern-lit walking tour through the neighborhood, filled with characters, stories, local legends, and apparently this year, a few more reasons to watch what’s lurking in the dark. 😂👻

Here are some of my favorite shots from this year’s haunt!

🎟️ They’re only haunting the neighborhood through October 3, so you’ve only got a little time left to catch it!
