Hey friends! Last-minute opportunity! I've got a Santa session opening at 5:05 pm tomorrow due to a cancellation because of a sports conflict for their kiddos! If you're interested or know someone who is, please share this post to help me fill the spot! I'd really appreciate it! 🥰

✨ Santa Sessions are LIVE! ✨

No long lines, no rushed mall visits — just pure Christmas magic. Each child gets dedicated time with Santa to chat, share their list, and soak up the wonder (or tears) while I capture the genuine reactions and joy. 🎅📸

Only 10 spots available on Saturday, Nov. 15 — these go fast every year!

I know many of our kids have aged out of this sweet tradition, but if you know a family with little ones who’d love it, I’d be so grateful if you’d share. ❤️

✨ Waking up every morning to new Santa session orders fills my heart with so much gratitude and joy. Honestly, there are still moments when I have to pinch myself—I’m blown away by the incredible support you all show my little business. 💖

Photography wasn’t in the plan. It all started 10-ish years ago when Maddie was born. I wanted to capture every precious moment, so I dove in, soaking up knowledge from an amazing friend/mentor, and taught myself the craft. Before I knew it, people were asking me to photograph their special moments. I had just finished my MBA so I knew a little bit about business. I quickly set up shop, ran my numbers, and here I am—a decade later— and have built something sustainable and meaningful, surrounded by the most amazing clients who truly value me and my art. 🥹

Photography is so much more than just pressing a button. A little behind-the-scenes for my Santa sessions: the cost of running these is higher than any other session I offer. The best Santas? They’re worth every penny (and I happily pay them what they deserve)!!! On top of that, I invest in props, accessories, and even things like swapping out my kitchen faucet because last year’s silver one was distracting in photos. (Scott loved that decision, haha. 😂) Here’s something many don’t realize—my session fees for these only covered my costs!

The bottom line? My clients—you—are simply the best. Your support and trust in me mean the world. Seeing your orders come in and imagining the smiles these memories will bring to your families is everything! Thank you for believing in me and investing in my work. love you all so much! ❤️🎅📸

🎅✨ Today’s the big day! 🎄✨

This afternoon, 24 lucky kiddos will be joining Santa himself to bake and decorate some magical cookies! 🍪🎅 If you snagged a spot, make sure to read the email Santa sent to your children two weeks ago (check your inbox 😉). It’s packed with all the details and helpful tips for parents to make today as magical as can be!

If you have any questions about the day, feel free to call or text me! However, between 2 and 4 p.m., please reach out to my Elf instead, as I’ll be busy capturing all the holiday magic. (You’ll find my Elf’s phone number in the email Santa sent).

Santa (and his photographer) can’t wait to see you all in just a few hours! 🎄🎉 Ho ho ho! ❤️🍪

About a year ago, I decided to take a serious break to reflect on the future of Ashley Rogers Photography. For a while, I was convinced I was 100% done with newborn work. But every so often, I’d have a change of heart and take on a session—just to get my fix of those sweet, sleepy little ones.

It’s not that I don’t love photographing newborns. I absolutely do. There’s something magical about capturing those first moments. But if I’m honest, the time commitment for this type of work is immense. Newborn photography is one of the most challenging and time-consuming genres—but also one of the most rewarding.

This is why the investment in professional newborn photography is so high. It’s so much more than just pressing a button. It’s years of training, practice, and dedication to perfecting the art of safely and beautifully capturing those precious early days.

And then, every time I look back at my work and see the recognition I’ve received as one of the Best Newborn Photographers in Orlando since 2022, I start to second-guess everything. 🥹

For now, I’m still reflecting on what the future holds for this little side business of mine. But one thing’s for sure—my love for capturing fresh little babies will never fade. 💕

I’m about to get a little cheesy, but my heart is so full I have to share. Yesterday was utterly exhausting, yet completely fulfilling in so many ways.

I honestly didn’t think I’d be offering Personality Portrait Minis this year. But here we are, and I am so glad I did. I think I may have found the type of session that offers perfect balance — one that allows me to pursue my passion for photography without the stress that once made me question if I could keep going. For one, they’re indoors, which means no weather reschedules, no battling the unpredictable elements, no mosquitoes, and YES to air conditioning. 🥰 But that’s just the logistical stuff.

What's really getting me sappy is the joy that these sessions bring me. Joy during the shoots as I manage to get the BEST expressions from my adorable clients. Joy while culling through the images. Joy delivering proof galleries, and reading families tell me they are in love with their photos.

Seriously, how can you not smile ear-to-ear looking at moments like these? Yesterday was PERFECT, and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. So I guess I’m not really retiring after all. 💛

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, and I wanted to share something close to my heart. While I’m not officially back to photographing families, I am still a willing volunteer with The Gold Hope Project. This incredible organization offers free portrait sessions to pediatric cancer fighters.

If you know a family who is currently facing, or has faced, this challenging journey and would love a free family photoshoot, please let them know about The Gold Hope Project. They can apply for a Fighter Session here: https://www.ashleyrogersphoto.com/the-gold-hope-project

I feel truly blessed to have met these three brave little warriors, and I’m thrilled to celebrate their victories over cancer! 💛💛💛

It’s been almost a year since I decided to take a big step back from client work, and recently I’ve been getting a few DMs asking about my plans for the fall. Some are wondering if I’m really “retired” from photography. Well, the answer isn’t exactly black and white. I’m considering a few options, but I’m also committed to not overcommitting this time around—I learned that lesson the hard way last year!

So, here’s what I know so far:

No More Outdoor Family Minis. These were rough on me last year, mostly because of the constant rescheduling due to unpredictable weather. Juggling that with a full-time job? Too much. So, I won’t be doing those this fall. However, I might be open to offering a few full outdoor family sessions—just a couple evenings max. Still thinking on this one though…

Santa Sessions. This is one of my favorite things to do! Seeing the wonder on the kids’ faces is absolutely priceless. As a parent, I know how fleeting that magic is—last year was actually Kenzie’s last year as a believer, the magic is officially gone in our house 😳😢. If I do Santa sessions, I’m considering changing things up this year to avoid the unpredictable weather by bringing Santa from the park into my kitchen. But, I need to gauge interest before locking things in with Santa.

If any of this sounds like something you’d be interested in, let me know in the comments or shoot me a DM. Your feedback will help shape what I decide to offer this fall!

Hey friends! Just a quick heads-up: all photos have been sent your way, so that means I've officially reached the finish line of this incredible journey. If you've had a session with me lately and haven't grabbed your images yet, make sure to do that before the end of this month. After that, I'll be wrapping up my file transfer subscription and your images will no longer be available for download. As always, let me know if you have any questions or need me to re-send links from recent sessions!

It's with a heavy heart that I share this message. Photography has been my soul's calling, a passion that fueled my spirit and brought immense joy. But life has a funny way of shifting priorities, and right now, I find myself at a crossroads.

I've made the difficult decision to temporarily halt all new bookings. For those with confirmed contracts and deposits, rest assured, your sessions will be honored with the utmost care and dedication.

Lately, the juggling act between my beloved camera lens, the demands of my corporate job, and the hectic schedules of my children has left me feeling drained. The balance I once effortlessly maintained now feels elusive. My family, my anchor, deserves more of my undivided attention. I've missed precious moments, traded breakfast conversation for early-morning editing marathons, traded time at my children's practices for evening shooting, and the weight of that absence has grown heavy.

My corporate role, which I cherish deeply, has evolved, demanding more of my time and unpredictably claiming evenings and weekends. The resurgence of travel for both my husband and me means I can't commit as reliably as I once could.

This isn't an easy choice to make. It's heart-wrenching to step away, even for a short while. But within this pause lies an opportunity to recalibrate, to redefine what photography means in my life. Family always comes first, and I've felt the pang of guilt too often this past season.

Yet, this isn't goodbye forever. It's a chance for introspection, to carve out a new balance that honors my passion for photography while prioritizing the moments that matter most. I'm immensely grateful for this privilege to hit pause, to reflect, and hopefully return with renewed energy and inspiration.

Thank you all for your unwavering support and understanding. Your belief in my work fuels my determination to come back stronger. My wish is that this break is just a chapter, not the end of the story.
