Sneak peek from yesterday’s morning maternity session.

We went back and forth on North Ave or Gilson, and I’m so glad we chose Gilson. The quiet just felt better for this. Nothing taking away from what mattered most.

At every wedding,there is a mother quietly carrying the weight of the day in her heart and I cry just thinking about it being myself one day.

Watching the child she once held with one arm become someone else’s whole world. The way she watches during the vows. The nervous fixing of a dress that doesn’t need fixing. Trying not to cry and then crying anyway.

Maybe it gets me now because I’m a mom too.I know how much of yourself lives inside your children.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women behind so much of the love we celebrate on a wedding day.

Yesterday’s brunch in the Jewel Room at Beatnik on the River in a literal vintage jewelry. The kind of room that makes you want to plan a city hall elopement followed by martinis and brunch with your people. Highly recommend this plan for your city hall wedding.

Loved hearing .events speak on building a business around the right relationships, not just more of them. Beautiful room, smart conversation, chic crowd. Exactly my kind of afternoon. Xo

The father-daughter dance is always one of the most tender moments of the night. You can feel the history in it, the years, the memories, the quiet pride that built this moment.

I find myself emotional every time, thinking about my own children and imagining what that day will feel like.

Then came the groom dancing with his mother-in-law
and the emotion shifted. Not smaller, just different.
More laughter. More lightness.

The same deep love. There’s something powerful about these dances. A connection that runs through generations.
The celebration begins, because it was never just about the dance I t’s about the people who raised them, loved them, and are now watching them step into the next chapter.
