Lisa Frank, You Gotta Have It!

Another annual Halloween shoot in for the books with some of my favorite people to work with, My’Kel and Misha! I’m thankful for these two taking the time to brainstorm ideas and ultimately land on a whimsical legend, Lisa Frank.

I’m so grateful I’ve been able to work with these talented artists for the past few years over a range of projects. We never planned on making this an annual event, but this coincidental tradition between the three of us will forever be important to me.

I’m endlessly proud and inspired by Arieon for how passionate they are towards pursuing creative endeavors. We have had so many conversations about where Arieon wanted to take their interests in music from making it, being a DJ, hosting events, etc. This is a real friend always willing to share meaningful moments about how music makes us feel. Welcome to the Circus: Life’s a Beach?

well, it’s been a full year as a full-time freelance photographer here in chicago.

i’m so grateful i get to live out my dreams and work with such beautiful and talented individuals every day. major shout out to the chicago drag community, you all changed the trajectory of my career forever and i can’t thank you enough.

so much more to come in this next year of my career. more ideas, more projects, more ways i want to push myself.

Another year means another Gaggy Awards season.

I hope all of you would consider nominating me for Best Drag Photographer this year. Since last award season, I’ve put in the work to not only grow my relationships with the drag community, but perfecting my craft and ensuring I’m delivering fun and exciting concepts onto the scene every photoshoot.

How have I done this you ask?

I’ve built sets from scratch, painted personalized backdrops for conceptualized shoots, created unique and stylized lighting setups for shoots, fostered relationships to have artists return for additional shoots (i.e. this grid post), donated photoshoots for several competition prize packages and never shutting down an idea and making s**t work! (iykyk)

I say this all the time, but I really do owe so much of my career to the drag community. I’m forever thankful I can take up space and create beautiful art with talented ass artists. I’m endlessly inspired by all of you and only a reflection of y’all’s creativity❣️
