This Friday from 6:30–8:30 PM at Blanc Gallery, we’re creating space not just for conversation, but for action.
As part of my exhibition Loud & Clear, Dr. Brown will guide us through a hands on session on how to administer Narcan and how to respond to overdose situations. More importantly, we will center the humanity of our brothers, sisters, and neighbors who are battling addiction.
Addiction is not distant from our communities, it’s here, and care must meet it with knowledge, compassion, and preparedness.
This evening is about being equipped, showing up for one another, and learning how to save lives.
Come listen. Come learn. Come care.

The conversation continues, whether I’m listening or not.
People pressed against walls. Pain endured. Dignity tested.
Still, a smile survives. A neighbor’s embrace warms the air.
So much has been made Loud & Clear,
he**in entering our communities,
plastic entering the veins of our planet.
I’m still listening.
This exhibition is the beginning of my response,
rooted in curiosity, grief, love, responsibility, hope, and empathy.
Join me for Loud & Clear, my first solo exhibition on Chicago’s South Side.

With a flood of missed emails, calls, texts, and meetings,
I realized it’s because I miss the moments,
the moments to return to what I love.
Thank you, , for reminding me
to pick up my camera
when words fall short.
In a time when paradigms are shifting,
I’m reminded to keep shifting the narrative.

just 2 big kids
I met Jon on my way to New York, filming a documentary. Who knew that trip would change me for the rest of my life.
Three years after his passing, I reflect on our walk through Central Park, imagining how we would change the narrative of Chicago by creating an alternative one. Jon was profound in the way he loved, in the way he served, and in the way he believed in what was possible.
I’m forever grateful for your love, my friend, your passion, and your faith.
Happy 33rd, Jon.

‘Absence of Words’, is a series that speaks to the universal language of photography as the tool of choice. I may be a man of few words, but where words are absent my camera speaks.
