From the first time I heard Mikayla’s laugh over the phone, I knew these engagement photos were going to be a good time. She said the magic words “You are the artist. We trust you completely to do your thing.”
That’s all any photographer needs to hear to be 100000% on board for all time!!
And it was just that: the forecast app called for clouds, it was golden, glowy, breezy. It was cold that morning, but Spring warmth crept in for them. The evening before the park was flooded with people, this time we were nearly alone, serenaded by a man playing guitar and singing softly. Our laughter rang out again and again while the birds sang & people smiled as they quietly slipped past us on the steps.
Patrick is Mikayla’s safe place to land, kind, gentle, hilarious, you could quote half his conversations on t-shirts just for fun. Mikayla is Patrick’s “gorgeous girl out of my league”, compassionate & kind, laid back, joyful with scrunched-nose laughter pealing out, and a “we are getting married” glow.
