The world feels a little heavy these days, but it still turns, and thankfully, so do we. That was the guiding ethos this past Friday night, June 19th, as The String Cheese Incident brought their Just Keep Spinning Tour to the TD Amp Ballantyne.

What sets a experience apart is how beautifully they anchor their musical mind-bending in real-world community.

Acknowledging that the collective cultural weight outside the venue gates can feel a bit overwhelming these days, the band intentionally framed this tour as an oasis of connection and release. On Friday night, that spirit of togetherness was the true foundation of the vibe.

Charlotte got a night of pure magic: genre-bending jams, jaw-dropping musicianship, and the kind of weird, wonderful energy that only a legend like Les Claypool can orchestrate.

Whether navigating the prog-heavy waters of the Frog Brigade, the psychedelic swirl of The Claypool Lennon Delirium, or the funk-metal frenzy of Primus, the "Claypool Gold" tour proved to be an absolute masterclass in stage presence and chemistry.
