📮Letter #1: your guest photos
💌To: Bride
Here’s what I wish I did at my wedding. Take it or leave it. I just thought you should know … remembering your guests are important but sometimes as a bride we forget who shows up.
It’s not because our guests aren’t memorable. But it’s because we lose track of precious time. We have a lot going on that runs in our minds on the wedding day (especially without a wedding coordinator)! We are constantly being pulled from one direction to another direction. From one thing we have to do to the next. And by the time you know it, the night is already over.
Other times, it’s because we lose track of who took those photos and where they end up if we had any in the first place. We could end taking a bunch of photos with our guests on their phones. Sometimes we’ll see them post it up and tag us. And sometimes we’ll don’t. And sometimes not everyone had the chance to take a picture with us. Or we put in the effort to have a welcome line ready for every guest to hug us after the ceremony except—no pictures were taken because all of us were too busy saying hi. For some of us who are lucky, we may have a beautiful backdrop designated for guest photos with everyone, but it takes at least 45 minutes for each individual person, couple, and family to take the pictures with us. And so our smiles end up twitching in pain when the night is over.
But I’m here to help you prevent all those things from happening though. I have a solution to all it.
The truth is, this moment with these very precious people who have come from all seasons of your life only gather every so often like this. So you should make the most of it. Be intentional and creatively smart about how to document everyone that attended your wedding in photos that’ll never fade like how the memories in our heads do. And so here’s just one of the ideas of how you can take fleeting moments of life and preserve them for forever. 💡
Sincerely,
your wedding photographer 🕊️
