Just a couple of dads in Denver.

Finally caught up with my guy and OG - Elliott was one of the first to do this drinks Instagram thing and has been an inspiration since I started back in 2015. Today, over 10 years later, we caught up over drinks and reflected on the last decade of friendship, our families, IG and the future of our industry.

Truly grateful to call this man a brother, it’s been a wild journey to get here 🙏🏽

What a nice day for a little CRUISE downtown...

This is my 1978 FJ40 Land Cruiser - fully restored in matte red. I’ve been taking this baby out of the garage more often lately and she drives like a dream. I recently added bucket seats, speakers, heat insulation and A/C and I swear it’s a completely different experience, especially in the warmer months coming up. I’ll post more pics soon… and more regular FJ content in general, I’m not sorry about it 😜

C’mon honey let the good times roll…

Hope y’all aren’t getting tired of these summer cocktails yet because together with my friends over at HineCognacs. We created an easy and delicious recipe that will be a go-to over the next few months. The richness of honey, herbaciousness of basil + the foamy texture from the egg whites lends to perfect balance of flavors accentuated by this V.S.O.P. by my friends

HONEY BASIL SOUR
__

1½ oz / 45 ml V.S.O.P Cognac
½ oz / 15 ml Basil Syrup
¾ oz/ 20 ml Honey Liqueur
1 oz / 25 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Egg white
Basil Leaf (Garnish)

Combine all ingredients in a shaking tin with ice. Reverse dry shake. Strain into a chilled coupe. Wait for foam to settle then garnish with a basil leaf.

Habanero infused tequila is such a power move. You can always make your own too, just slice up 3 habaneros, soak in a blanco tequila overnight (or longer if you want it spicier) then strain back into the bottle. I personally love habaneros over jalapeños in my margs since it tends to lean more fruity than vegetal (but spicier too!)
