Today, on National Rainbow Baby Day, we celebrate babies like this precious girl while also remembering the babies who came before them — the ones who may not be here in their parents’ arms, but will forever be a part of their families and their stories. 🤍

Sweet girl, you are your momma and daddy’s rainbow after the rain. 🌈✨ Their answered prayer. Their beautiful little reminder that sometimes hope finds its way back to us, even after the darkest storms. 🥹

Sending a little extra love today to every family who knows just how much meaning can live inside the word rainbow. 🤍

🍂 FALL + HOLIDAY MINIS ARE COMING! 🎄✨

Yes…I know… it’s still August, and the weather today reminded us of that. 😂 But somehow fall is right around the corner, which means it’s almost time for one of my favorite seasons of the year! And I know yall have been waiting for this announcement!

This year I’m doing things a little differently. My fall calendar is already filling with regular sessions + weddings, so I’m offering VERY limited mini session dates for 2026. Once these dates are full, I likely won’t be adding more! 🫶🏼

Here’s what’s coming:

Okay, I’m not gonna lie… even I surprised myself with this one. 😂👏🏼

This is the exact same image.

The photo straight out of camera was DARK—and intentionally so. With that dramatic Folly Beach sky behind them, I exposed knowing I wanted to protect all that detail in the clouds and highlights. I knew there was information hiding in those shadows… but when I finished this edit I was still like, OKAYYYYY. 😍

This is such a fun example of how much of the final image actually happens after I press the shutter.

Knowing how to photograph for the final vision, then bringing back the light, skin tones, colors and all those little details in editing is a huge part of the process.

Sometimes what you see on the back of the camera isn’t anywhere close to where we’re going with it. 😉

And sometimes the photographer even impresses herself. 😂📸✨

As a Navy wife, the Fourth of July always carries a little extra meaning. ❤️⚓️🇺🇸

Today feels even more special as we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s story—the freedoms we cherish, the sacrifices that have protected them, and the men and women who continue to serve our country every day.

I’m especially grateful for the military families who serve right alongside them, often quietly and behind the scenes.

Whether you’re gathered around a backyard barbecue, watching fireworks with your favorite people, or celebrating from somewhere far from home, I hope today reminds you just how precious those moments together are.

I drove home after this session thinking, “Yep… this is why I do this.” 🥹🤍

Everything about this Folly Beach maternity session just felt effortless. The light was absolutely perfect, she looked stunning, and watching their little girl love on her baby sibling before they’ve even met completely melted me.

They actually traveled to Charleston for these photos, and I don’t think we could’ve picked a more beautiful evening. Golden light, sea oats, driftwood, and the sweetest little family getting ready to become four.

These aren’t just maternity photos.

They’re the last little snapshots of life before everything changes in the very best way. The last family walks as a family of three. Tiny hands resting on a growing belly. The anticipation, the excitement, the quiet moments in between.

Those are the memories I hope they look back on years from now and feel all over again.

Getting to capture families from both Charleston and those who travel here for destination maternity sessions will never stop feeling like such an honor. 🤍✨ Courtney I’m so excited for your little family and honored that I got to help document this sweet season in your lives.
