This happened 1 year ago today in Penfield.. I remember vividly when I saw this, one of the most visual NY dust devils I have seen. Dust devils are not super common for New York but they do occur occasionally. I believe the lake breeze boundary sinking south off of Lake Ontario helped aid in the genesis of this one. Dust devils thrive off day time surface heating. 🌪

⏲️⭐️🌠⛈️Yesterday was a brutal lightning chase, this year has been tough all around for storm photography. Last night was one of the best lightning nights this year in Western NY and I managed to somehow be 15minutes late still. For a moment it was nonstop flashing over Silver Lake but by the time I got myself setup to shoot it was far too late. Here is a piece of the only bolt I captured, I do really like how you can see the starry sky as well though so I should take Timothy Paynes advice and sometimes you just gotta enjoy the little things.

Balloons Over Letchworth As I was just casually taking photos of this hot air balloon I came across I noticed after looking at the photos closer that they were also waving and looking back at me! What a cool experience. Photos taken between Chamberlain and Silver Springs rd. If anyone happens to know the people it would be super cool if they got to see the photos 😎 👋

🌅🌄 Well that was a nice little treat to come across tonight! Missed it dropping down to Silver Lake by a few minutes but still got my camera in time to get a few shots!

*EXPIRED WARNING* 🌪 TORNADO WARNING for Niagara County, New York rotation is embedded within the storm line that is about to come ashore. Expect straightline winds and a chance of a tornado is possible. Radar confirmed as of right now.

🌧 ☔️ Once again we are in for the possibility of quite a rainy day tomorrow on Sunday. The NWS has most of Western NY and a portion of Upstate NY in a slight risk of excessive rainfall. Depending where the heaviest rain and storms set up there could be a chance of flash flooding as the Low pressure makes its way through the area especially areas where storms train over the same spot.

📹 🎥 📻 Little compilation I put together today. I have tons of random short clips that I never know what to do with so I wanted to experiment with them a bit. What do we think of this style of video and what could be done differently or better? Constructive criticism is very much welcome.
