Jamie Pankow Photography The Authentic Equestrian's Photographer I am an equine and pet photographer based in Western New York.

I grew up on my family’s dairy farm and have been surrounded by horses from a very young age. When creating artwork, I celebrate the history and passion behind our world's magnificent creatures. Allow me to take you on a journey that will celebrate your wild side. It is my greatest accomplishment within my portrait business to be known as the authentic equestrian’s photographer. I am lucky enough

to say I know the unconditional love that comes with a heart horse, and I know they can’t stay with us forever. I strive to photograph the equestrians in their truest form, the person they can only be when they are with their horse.

I often wonder what stories horses would tell if they could speak.

The pastures they've grazed, the storms they've stood through, the miles they've carried and the people they've watched come and go.

They witness so much of our lives without ever saying a word.

They see our victories and our heartbreaks, they carry us through seasons we never thought we'd survive, they greet us on the days when the world feels heavy and ask for nothing more than our presence in return.

Yet they can never tell us their story.

They can't explain what they remember, what they've endured, or how they see the world around them. Instead, they tell us through quiet moments, soft eyes, steady footsteps and a love that asks for little and gives so much.

Perhaps that's why we love them so deeply.

Because while they may never tell us their story, they spend their entire lives helping us write ours.

This image was created during my most recent trip out to Roanchar Ranch Draft Horse Rescue, a beautiful place devoted to providing soft landings and happy homes to horses still building their story.

This year at the Summer Kick Off Classic Horse Show I have traded my camera for my spurs and stepped into the show pen.

While I may not be behind the lens this season, I am still incredibly proud to continue supporting this amazing series as a sponsor which means I can't let all of the memories from this show season go undocumented.

So, I created a shared photo space where everyone can upload their favorite moments from the entire 2026 Summer Kick Off Series. Whether you captured a big win, a candid barn moment, your favorite horse show memories, or simply the moments that make weekends like these so special, I would love for you to share them.

Visit the link below to add your photos all season long and at the end of the series, we will put together a slideshow so we can all relive this season through everyone’s eyes. 🖤

If you've ever loved a dog, you know the feeling.

The years fly by, the grey hairs arrive too soon and somehow, no amount of time with them ever feels like enough.

So let them run through the dandelions, have the photos taken and just celebrate this season.

Because one day these images won't just be beautiful, they'll be priceless.

There was a time when nearly every road in rural America led to a family farm.

Today, those roads are a little quieter.

The cows are still fed, the calves still bedded, the work still gets done long before most people are awake, but each year, fewer families are able to continue the legacy.

Family farms don't disappear all at once, they disappear one difficult decision at a time.

This image is a reminder that behind every farm are generations of sacrifice, resilience, and hope that the next generation will choose to carry it forward.

The days feel long until they aren't.

One minute you're holding their hand for your family portraits, and the next you're wondering where the time went.

Don't wait for the "perfect" season of life. This season deserves to be remembered too. 🖤

One day, these photographs will mean something entirely different than they do today.

One day, they feel like a snapshot of an ordinary season. The horses you groom before dinner. The little girls who still reach for your hand. The evenings spent together in the pasture.

But time has a way of changing our perspective.

Another day, you'll look back with kinder eyes. You'll notice the things you were too busy to appreciate in the moment. The faces that changed. The children who grew. The horses who carried your family through an unforgettable chapter of life.

That is why working with a professional photographer matters.

Not because you need more pictures. But because these seasons deserve to be preserved with intention, before they quietly become memories.

The horses we love leave hoofprints on our hearts long after they're gone. The photographs become one of the few ways we can visit them again.

And that makes this season worthy of capturing.
