Three portraits. One person. A story worth preserving.

A portrait can capture a moment. A collection of portraits can reveal something more.

Different expressions. Different moods. Different glimpses of the same remarkable person.

This custom-framed collection brings three portraits together in one beautiful piece of wall art, designed not simply to be viewed, but to become part of a home.

Because I believe the most meaningful photographs deserve more than a place on a hard drive.

They deserve a place on your walls.

Children do not need to sit perfectly still to create a beautiful family portrait.

In fact, some of the most meaningful expressions appear when children are allowed to move, laugh, lean into a parent, or take a short break. A good session works with their personalities and attention spans instead of asking them to behave like adults.

Before the session, make sure they are rested and have eaten, but bring a small, non-messy snack just in case.

Don’t insist that they smile the entire time. Your child’s curiosity, energy, and little expressions are part of this season of life. We are not trying to erase that. We are preserving it. During the session, let the photographer guide the pace.

A family portrait does not have to include only the people who live under one roof.

The holiday season may be one of the few times grandparents, adult children, cousins, or chosen family are together. If someone’s presence is important to your family story, consider including them.

Multi-generational portraits become more meaningful with time because they preserve relationships that children and grandchildren will one day want to see.

Larger groups do not have to feel stiff or complicated. With a plan and clear direction, we can create both the full family portrait and smaller groupings within the same experience.

Think about who you would be grateful to have beside you in a portrait ten years from now. That may be the clearest sign of who should be included today.

A helpful rule for family portrait clothing: coordinate, but do not make everyone match.

Start with two or three colors that work well together. Choose one person’s outfit first, then build the rest of the family around it with different textures and shades. Soft neutrals, rich earth tones, and deeper jewel tones photograph beautifully during the fall and holiday season.

Try to avoid large logos, tiny busy patterns, and colors that compete for attention. Most importantly, choose clothing that feels like you. When everyone is comfortable, it is easier to relax and connect.

You do not have to figure this out alone. Wardrobe guidance is part of a guided portrait experience, and I am happy to help you make choices that will look beautiful together and in your home.

Family Portraits

Before you choose outfits or a location, ask one simple question: What do I want this portrait to help us remember?

Maybe it is the way your youngest still reaches for your hand. Maybe it is the laughter that starts whenever everyone is together. Maybe it is having three generations in the same room.

That answer gives your portrait session a purpose. It helps us create something personal instead of simply making everyone stand together and smile. The best family portraits do more than show what people looked like. They bring you back to how being together felt.

The holiday season is a natural time to pause and preserve this chapter of your family. If you have been thinking about a portrait, send me a message and tell me what you want to remember.

“Let’s be honest, the holidays are a beautiful mix of cozy moments and total chaos. But somewhere between the matching PJs, the cookie crumbs, and the group hugs... is the magic of being together.

Let’s capture those moments so you can look back and smile long after the decorations are packed away.”

I’m opening up a limited number of holiday family portrait sessions this season.

Whether you’re thinking of a classic fireplace setup, cozy outdoor vibes, or just a real, candid moment — we’ll make it feel easy, relaxed, and true to your family.
