The calm before the storms.
It's been a wild week. I spent several sweaty evenings in the shop & studio, packing up artwork and preparing for upcoming outdoor events. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I looked up to see a spectacular sunset peaking through the windows. A reminder that through the hustle & bustle, Mother Nature is the constant. She gives us the gift of Life, of memory, and of true connection. Slow down, tune in to her wisdom and the beauty of Life, the little moments and grand adventures. Follow your true nature. Open the doors, step outside and walk into her wild ways and loving embrace.
I did just that. I opened the door, went outside and watched the last light spread like melted butter down the road, between buildings, reflected off glass, juxtaposed between electric lines, architecture and little dabs of greenery. While this may not be my dream location, Life exists here, Nature is all around. We have rooted friends, and those of wings and four legs. We have been visited by a plethora of birds, families of squirrels and chipmunks, rabbits, deer, turkey, ducks, herons, hawks and an eagle, a raccoon, opossums, and a neighborhood skunk. All right outside the door of our old stone home and little old shop in the wilds of historic downtown Carlisle.
We share this space with many. And we journey far and wide to meet and experience Life in many ways, in diverse landscapes, and bring that light, energy, and inspiration back to you. We learn from Mother Nature: To bloom where we have been planted, and to spread seeds of goodness here and wherever we roam.
Open your hearts, minds, and the doors of your boxes and join us on the flip side between PA and WV as we round out our summer tour of events, and as we head back to Earth for autumn hours in the shop, supplying you with the best earth-based art, goods, gear & guides to inspire your one wild & precious Life. The shop will reopen in mid-October.
