S & S Productions was founded in August of 2011 by Brian Schaffner and Dustin Shotto with the idea of making a video production showcasing photographs of incidents that occurred throughout Cumberland County during the 2011 calendar year. Permission was sought and granted by several fire companies and established area fire photographers to use photos in this video endeavor. Shortly after ringing in
the 2012 New Year, the 'Cumberland County 2011 Year-End Review' was released to the public with low expectations by the creators. Subsequently, the video became an over-the-top success garnering many likes and shares on several fire company's pages and websites as well as having links added to the websites of two popular capital area fire photographers who ultimately gave their blessing to use their photos. This spawned the idea of expanding into doing their own apparatus and fireground photography while continuing to partner with other fire photographers for the now highly anticipated annual year-end review videos for Cumberland County. S & S Productions has grown exponentially in the short time since their inception and has garnered the respect of many in the area while also building a working relationship with many members of local volunteer fire companies and members of the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire during ride-alongs. S & S is currently looking to expand by purchasing additional camera equipment including a hi-def helmet cam and by opening up a website in addition to their already popular page with both dedicated to showcasing their photos and videos.
